I completed the museum on my first island and art was definitely the last thing I needed. Took me forever to get it. I even had a second player on my island buying the second piece of art on Harv's every day to try and get the last few pieces. In the end I'll admit I restarted the day a few times when Redd was on my island to reroll what he had and that got me there. I was just so fed up with buying two pieces with two players every day and not getting what I needed. The final piece was the detailed painting. And guess what Redd had on his boat on his very first visit on my new island. Yep. Detailed painting. Real of course because the first time he's there all four pieces are real. I know it's all just RNG but sometimes I do feel like Animal Crossing is just toying with us.

One of the rumors I see is the flower you get in an island is based on your bday. I’ve had several islands and I always do the same bday, and never has there been consistency. Another was the airport color equating to specific nook miles items from the kiosk (eg the “yellow airport” gives you the “blue phone booth,” etc).

The flower one I heard on a stream once too, I figured that wasn't real either because I did reroll a few times and got different flowers with the same birthday too. The airport-nook mile item one is partly true though. There's a number of items that are directly linked to the airport color such as the fairground rides and the streetlamp. Other items, including the phone booth, are grouped together, so there's a limited number of combinations of colors you can get but they are not linked to airport color.

@sammy_the_quitter I'm sure your comment was well intentioned, but that's actually incorrect. You probably accidentally buried the 1,000 bell bag you dug up, which then became 3,000. Planting 10,000 bells results in 30,000 100% of the time. (a google search backs this up)

Deciduous Trees IRL are Hardwood trees, so that actually checks out. Conifers (like Cedars) are softwood trees. It would actually make complete sense for Hardwoods to drop more hardwood, Cedars to drop more Softwood, and Palms to drop more normal wood.

Hiii thanks for this video I’m still playing after 4 years The only thing is what you said about soft/hard/wood spawn from trees. In my experience there is a correlation between the Shade of the trunk and the wood. Also every island will have a type of wood it drops from regular trees at a higher rate consistently. I roll until I get an island that drops majority wood. It’s real

The rumor that if you drop your ladder outside of the airport, you're "guaranteed" to get a flat mystery island that doesn’t have any cliffs. I tried this because I've heard a few different AC KZbinrs claim this was the case (angry coconut, Dagnel, and a couple others that I wasn't interested in subbing to), so I tried it myself after watching it work for them, and IMMEDIATELY I got the mystery island that is the island with three layers of cliffs. I quickly realized, "Oh, this is complete bullshit. It's just RNG working out in these people's favor that they are lucky enough to roll a flat island after ditching their ladder!"

Im curious about your bell tree conclusion... I have planted at least one 10k bell tree every day for the last year and I have NEVER gotten more than 3 10k bags.. Not once. However, I have planted larger amounts and found 3 bell bags of that amount IF I dont replant the tree elsewhere. Im going to have to try that again and see if it still works!

Get to three stars, then when the boat rides are announced (1 or 2 days after getting three stars), talk to Blathers, he'll have a thinking bubble and will tell you about Brewster, then take a boat ride with Kapp'n and Brewster will be on the island. Talk to him and the next day it will be announced that the museum will close to build the cafe.

When I played in 2020 I feel that everyone speed ran the game which is weird because it’s animal crossing. I reset in 2023 and it’s way better slowing things down. I used to say “I wish this was new leaf” but now I can say that new horizons is the better game. If you feel like the game was not it then I’m sorry to inform you that you made the experience bad. It’s like going to subway and saying the sandwich was trash. You made the sandwich. New leaf will have a place in my heart and it does have the other Nintendo items but I feel that the hate that NH gets ridiculous
