I learned to doublejump, for the first time ever, in this game on that broken bridge in the tutorial, when I was 7 or so. It took me a long long time. And then, in my late teens I think, I replayed the game out of nostalgia and realized this game just has a very finicky doublejump :D I also remember being stuck in the final battle for a very long time (I didn't know English back then, and in my pirated copy of the game the random non-cutscene phrases characters said weren't translated or subtitled, so Fiona's hint was gibberish to me). And while I was stuck, summer holidays began, and I was sent to my grandma's for the whole summer, with no computer available. But after a week or so I found out from a friend that I was supposed to throw food, so I spent the rest of the summer fantasizing about what the next levels would be like (I thought I was only halfway through the game for some reason). And when I returned home in September, my disappointment was immeasurable and my dreams were ruined.

Interesting fact: the dev team behind this did Harry Potter 1-3 on PC. This is literally the same engine as Prisoner of Azkaban for PC; hence the soulless look in the character models' eyes. 😶 Also enjoyed the video! :))

It's so interesting to see the PC version of this game. I'm very nostalgic for the GameCube version of Shrek 2. The GameCube version is still janky, but definitely not as janky and it's honestly pretty fun. I'm just confused why the PC version changed up the story and details so strangely.

I was introduced to this game by my cousin. We played the crap out of it and I was the only one in our cousin group to make it to the final boss. Since I didn't know English back then I never was able to beat the FGM as I never figured out throwing food at her (and back then internet wasn't as common as now let alone gameplay videos). Now, my cousin is no longer with us but I finished this game yesterday in his name. Thanks for the video Kevin. This game is a part of my childhood that I will always remember dearly.
