I spent about 30 bucks total. Nothing TOO insane. 20 dollars of poke coins and 10 for the passes. The experience as a whole was fun because I was spending time with friends all day but the shiny pulls were terrible. Lol

Same here, I spent $45 on coins during the 2 days. I still have lots of raid passes left but I went 0/71 on shiny origin raids which is super discouraging. Had a lot of fun walking around with friends and meeting new people but to get no shiny origins and spend 16 hours over the weekend walking around in the Canadian cold leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

As a free player i was BARELY was able to get them as I only had 1.5 hours to play. Luckily I live in a city so was able to get 2 origin palikas (one having spacial rend) and 1 dialga (having roar of time). As well got 1 azelf from the research (my fave of the trio though).

I'm a new player, only been playing for a month or so and it's been pretty fun. I think if you're a vet you get burned out but I'm still psyched for catching things like the river spirits and my 99 Regigigas. This week was amazing for legendaries. Just remember to have fun and realize that you can't be the best at everything and have the best of everything. Enjoy what you have. My family and I spent about 10 bucks for the Sinnoh raid passes. I also got a decent 3* Riolu which I turned into a Lucario (I like Lucario!), also got a shiny Snorlax, and both Adventure effects for the dieties. Had a great time.

Actually attended the LA event in Pasadena. I live three miles from the Rose Bowl so had no excuse to not go and very glad I did. My wife and I had a great time, did tons of raids, caught lots of Pokemon and left hoping another in person event happens near us again. The % of Palkia and Dialga with the special move was much higher than the rate this weekend.

Hatched over 100 eggs with 0 shinies and 0 hundos hatched. Did 55 raids with the goal of 1 shiny Orgin Dialga abd 1 shiny Orgin Palkia but only got the Shiny Orgin Palkia. So I didn't get that lucky due to all of them being at a "eh, it's pretty decent" level of stats and not a single one that's "good" (94% of better) Edit: I had spent like $65 on the event

Was holding out to get 9 10km eggs to hatch at once. Apart from a few 2km and 5km collected, I managed to do this 3 times. Hatched Carnivine, only, ones was a hundo. So bloody disappointing. Nerfantic to a T. Got 1 wild shiny, crappy stats, not a good mon at all. Got cold and soaked for the privilege. Never again. It’s over. *auto check is a pain in the arse too!!!

I spent roughly $75 for the entire weekend. Went pretty hard on saturday and ended up with 20 shinies and sunday took a more relaxed approach bringing the fam to Sea World and letting the auto catcher do most of the work, ending with another 8 shinies. Pretty happy overall.

Speaking here as a F2P player who didn't spend a dime on the game, I had some fun during the week as well as for the Sinnoh Tour event itself, though I hated that during the Road To Sinnoh event, we had to win 8 RAIDS to complete it, with either made you waste a premium pass or 3 of them, which was annoying, like they could done something like "Win 5 5 star raids" or "5 3 star or higher raids" instead of 8. As for the event itself, I kinda had the opposite of finding rare stuff compared to Hoenn Tour, which kinda disappointed me since Hoenn was my fav region, as well as the prep event was better than last year. Now in terms of finds: *Shiny's:* Hoenn Tour: 4 (3 being new) Sinnoh Tour: 17 (7 being new) *Roaming Legendary's:* Hoenn Tour: 15 found, 0 caught Sinnoh Tour: 17 found, 7 caught Also found a hundo this year, that being a Pachirisu, which is funny cause it was my 1st one ever. Also, hated the badge bonuses this year. I picked Diamond which meant I had to do most of my raids for Origin Palkia, and out of the 5 raids I did total, I found the shiny, but NONE, not even one, HAD SPACIAL REND, which annoys me so much since they didn't tell in advance what are the odds of finding one with the special move, and it's more infuriating I had to waste 3 premium passes during Road to Sinnoh. Niantic basically gave the finger towards F2P players on weekdays we had before the tour.

If you want to use multiple items ( star piece, incense, lucky egg) just enter a raid use a bunch of items then leave. They are so much easier to add in there

In a sad way, this kinda feels like a culmination of how Niantic wants players to play. Drive around all day, spitting out greenhouse gasses, payin money. I wish they'd limit Remote raids to X amount a day, and put them back at their old price tag. I got a few this week, and failed half of them because the host messed up and we'd start with less than 5 players. Imagine trading gyms every day for 4 days just to fail a remote raid.

I spent on the $100 pokecoin bundle and the $39.99 webstore bundle for 70 raid passes. I got 21 shinies from everything. Im convinced spending increases shiny odds but we need a study on that specifically from Niantic's antics.

Yeah, na- not dropping a good $250 on coins for a rng global tour where most of the spawns have a 1 & 500+ odds of being shiny, the 10K egg pool is super diluted by 2K & 5K eggs & the catch rate is not boosted on the raids... I spent $50 (mostly on a green pass bundle & a few rrps)- it got me the 2 shiny forms of dialga, got 2 with decent enough IVs, no shiny palkia (despite choosing pearl, but not too worried- the shiny dialga look better imo anyway), a 98% origin palkia & a 96% XXS palkia, so I'm happy enough with those. The weekend eggs sucked for me! The drop rate for the 10Ks was abysmal, I think I got just 9x 10K eggs over the entire weekend out of 83 eggs total- most of what I kept getting was 5K & 2K eggs (I had the egg ticket, but it wasn't worth it in hindsight, so wont purchase another one again unless it comes with 2x or 3x hatch dust). Unsurprisingly, the only hatched shinnies I got (5) were all from the 2Ks. TBH, I've stopped expecting much of the tour events- they are pretty 'meh' unless you want to burn money on mostly crap pokemon. Personally, I'd rather spend my money on the Gofest events as at least with those the raids feel like better value due to the boosted catch rates, with the egg pool & shiny odds generally being better, so IMO, there is enough value in those (just) for me to consider spending some of my hard-earned wages on it. Bottom line- if Niantic want my money, they need to give me decent incentive to spend it & global tours are just not it.

My dex is 802/815 of the 842 available. Had a very successful Sinnoh tour. My Sinnoh Dex is unofficially complete, with the exception of Arceus, Phione and Manaphy. Now I go back to concentrating on Tropius, Huntail, Gorebyss (and therefore Clamperl) and Deoxys to finish Hoenn in preparation for Unova tour.

Over both days I got a similar pull as Daxi. Played from 10-3 on Sat and 12-5 on Sun. Pretty good event all in all. I didn't spend nearly as much as Daxi, maybe around $70 in total.

Don't worry I am expect Origin Palkia and Dialga will be first ever return to tier 5 raid during Pokemon Festival 2024 but the signature charge attack Roar of Time and Spatial Rend are not guarantee obtained after both Pokemon caught after raid regardless which version player prior choose to Sinnoh Tour.

Only downside not covered, is lures used to last longer than 30 minutes at global fest events, or so I thought. However these global events they only lasted thirty minutes. So in my usual walking, grinding route with 10 poke stops, that's a hefty chunk of money: 10*2*8*2= 320 lures for the 2 day weekend. I missed getting a shiny relicanth last Hoenn Tour, and didn't go to LA, so I wanted to make the most of hatching. I did a lot more raiding on the first day, and more raiding equals less moving, so day 2, I just walked a lot. 25km day one on the full day, 20 km on only half of the second day. Only got one shiny regional hatched. Big win, catching a shundo wild Uxie.

The thing is even having an abundance of items, you will run into time problems. You can only do so much. So my advice to players who spend money on the game, is to have a budget. And buy things that will last on the whole event.

I bought 60 USD. Ended up getting 31 shinys on day 1 and 17 on day. Funny thing is only 2 of those shinys was paid for (Carvine and O-Dialga). So in theory , you can play the global event without spending money and getting a bunch of shinys

i had my autocatcher ruin my first shiny Basculin on the second day. i noticed it in the map and i swear that there was no marker on top of it, but still i got that "no pokemon could be found" error. and that as you all know means that autocatcher has used one pokeball on it and it fled. that happened 10:53 on the second day, from then on i just kept having one route active throughout the day. And 16:53 so literally 6 hours later, i managed to get another one and this time without my catchamon ruining it.

Did like 15 raids in total between Dialga, Palkia and Giratina.The most notable ones were 1 93% Dialga which had roar of time, 1 shiny Palkia (terrible IVs) which had the move - also 1 Palkia ran away, found them especially tough to catch. Both my Giratina raids were good though - 1 hundo and the other was a 98%

Only started playing not even two month ago. I am a free to play player. I manage to buy 6 raid passes, 50 storage item and 50 storage pokemon from saving up pokecoins from defending gyms just before the event. In the last 7 days I have really got a lot of good pokemon my storage is really full. As much as I love all the legendary and mythical I got dialga, palkia, kyogre, landorus, giratina, ho-oh, thundurs, meloetta, mew, latias, enamorus, darkrai, zygarde, pheromosa, heatran, drampa, cresselia, regigigas, decidueye, turtonator... That just 6-7 week playing I cannot see how I could have enough rare candy to power these or teach them second move for 100 candies. I have managed to max out about 3-4 pokemon so far but not mythical ones. But the event was great, last week was good too with great raids et last month let me build up a good collection of usefull pokemon dragonite, garchomp, mamoswine, gyryardos, salamence,hydreigon, rhyperior, gardevoir, shadow machamp, annihilape, tegekiss, haxorus, .... crazy all this in not even two month I think I cannot keep up!

Have 43 in person raids over the two days. 2 shiny Dialga with Roar of Time and 1 shiny Origin form Palkia, but not with Spacial Rend. Got 2 with Spacial Rend out of 19 Origin Form Palkia raids. i spent around 40-50cad just to get some remote raid passes. played about 7hrs in total between the 2 days (had work day one and overslept day 2). got around 8 shinies with 2 dialga and 2 palkia shiny being part of the 8. unfortunately, Raincouver weather made it slightly hard for some people to come out and play so there was a lot less raiders than i expected. literally did about 20 palkia raids just to get 2 with spatial rend, both being 3rd and last raid of day 2. overall, event wasn't amazing but it was good. loved the habitat map designs and there was plenty to raid. just wish that niantic will drag out the hours for those who work on these event days

Sinnoh tour was actually my first in person pogo event since im in LA and for me the shiny rates were way better, Day 1 of LA i got 15 shinies whereas Global day 1 i got 6 shinies, even my friends who did LA said the rates were way lower for global

20,000 pokecoins in my currency is about £45.... for 8 hours gameplay. Do i need to point out the pink elephant in the room? RDR2, GTAV, UNCHARTED 4, Last of us - £60 (upon release) for 1,000's of hours each. Great story, depth, polish, limited bugs, they like their players etc Pokemon go is bare bones and they are asking per event the same as AAA games that take 5+ years of development... and they are asking for it more than once. This is probably the most expensive game per year including all hardware needed to play it and although I enjoy it (Mostly F2P) it is not worth that much.

The second I grinded, and didn’t get my first shiny until nearly four hours in while a friend playing with me had 11 shinies at that point. I had spent more that my friend (over $100 pokecoins bought with 2/3 spent on the weekend). RNG was not my friend so it made for a frustrating day. I ended the day with 8 shinies to my friend’s 18.

i spent about $100 on remote raid passes, i caught 2 shiny origin palkia and a dialga. but got zero shinys from regular spawns so was quite dissapointed honestly

I feel it totally depends on the person and your luck. You can't compare. I played with 2 friends we were all free. They got around 22 shinies in 1 or the 2 days. I got a total of maybe 7 shinies, but like 5-6 hundos. The global event is totally worth it playing for free.

Although I do not recommend from a safety standpoint point i caught 36 shinys playing while driving from one park to another (15 mins from each other back and fourth both days)and one shiny legendary

I had been saving for this event, had 13 raid passes and 6 remote raids, no legendary shinies, but got 1 of all through the event and stocked up on over 150 palkia xls❤❤❤ much love daxi

I bought the 50 premium pass bundle and went downtown to play with others. I definitely don't regret it. I got a hundo Dialga and a shiny Dialga and Palkia. I wanted to do the LA tour but between flights, hotels, food, ubers and other unforeseen expenses, it just was too expensive.

I spent 10 dollars for the tickets and another 20 dollars fo the bundle with 50 raid passes. I did 71 raids and i got 3 shiny dialgas and 1 shiny palkia and zero hundos, so raids were pretty good (shinywise), i wasnt concerned about the eggs, hatched like 12 eggs, just didnt care about those, also the shiny odds in wild were really bad, i got two shiny uxies and like 9 shiny regular pokemon from the wild. I played this event on both days 8 hours straight (the global one). But overall it was pretty great, so no complaints. Also got both legacy moves, so yeah

Saving 20 pass for Sinnoh tour, 17 pass left for Dialga, Palkia Raid, a Total of 16 Raids for 2 day, No Shiny, no Hundo, 2 Glitched Raid, only to get 1 98% Dialga But considering i spent 0 cash, i would say it was worth it... Still have 836 Coin and im saving it for a box containing 50 battle Pass

Only problems I ran into was starters taking over way to many raids during orgin form hour Also getting white screen after your party died during a raid and not being able to rejoin because raids refreshed right away And we found out a person on Megan’s law was out playing pogo with out community which I felt should be illegal 😅 …other then that I had a lot of fun …so many people out in my community , a lot of new people to

I didn't buy any boosts (the hatch or raid passes, or the mythical research), except technically the daily incubator month-long pass so I've been stockpiling the incubators for part of the month. Didn't actually use them all but I felt like that helped. (I have yet to hatch a Mime Jr from my 2k's but I have a few of those left, so hoping to get lucky as those finish up!) I also only played Day 2 due to a conflict with another commitment (which was a blessing, because unlike the past couple years, there were no collection challenges awarding incense! I had enough for today but would have been very difficult also doing yesterday and not knowing about the lack of extra incense ahead of time). I went into the event with fairly low expectations and was pleasantly surprised with how well I did. The lake trio had a good volume of spawns throughout the day - not too rare to be frustrating but not too common to feel underwhelming. I even caught a shiny Azelf! I didn't focus on raids as much as I hoped I would, but it meant I had more time to walk and check spawns. I did end up with both Origin Palkias that I caught knowing Spatial Rend, but unfortunately the one Origin Dialga I caught does not know Roar of Time (makes up for it by being a 98% though at least). A second O Dialga fled :( I took a chance on the Routes since one of the locations I played had a few shorter options. I caught at least half a dozen white Basculin, one higher IV that I kept. AND my game didn't crash, like it did the first time I tried doing a route during a community day last summer, so pleased to see the feature is more stable now. In total, I ended the day with 12 shinies - Azelf, Nosepass, 2x Hisuian Sneasel, 2x Stunky (evolved one), sandy Burmy, blue Shellos, one each of the red hat Pikachus (one Sinnoh one Hisui), N Unown, and the only hatch (so far) was a Pichu. Delightfully, these are all shinies that are new to me! I thought the two Pikachu were the same hat until I looked closer, we'll forgive Daxi for thinking there were only two and not 4 different Pikachu hats 😆 Overall, I feel like I wasn't as stressed as last year with Hoenn? I still did decently well last year, though recall feeling more anxious (but that could be because I was desperately trying to hatch 10K's for Relicanth - that ended up paying off with a pokedex shiny on pretty much the last egg I hatched - easily one of the most incredible moments of my game experience over the years

I’m on PEI, and sinnoh kinda sucked. Got hit with a snow/ice storm on Saturday so was only able to be out 2 hours on Saturday. And I catch reach stops or gyms from my place but I did get a few shibies but I’m more of a free to play player. Sure you can have a great experience if you have lots of money to spend on the game but some people just can’t afford it.

the legendary shiny odds during this event where the worst yet. it took 50 giratina raids before I caught a shiny, and I know of people doing twice that with no shinys. this whole thing was just a major cash grab for niantic in a way I haven't seen them do before. disappointment all around.

As a f2p Player I think... it was good I liked it, I did 13 raids and runned a lot for them bc has a colombian person I can only do raids with pokeraids and welp, my total of shinies were: 1 shiny bronzor, 1 shiny eevee, 1 shiny murkow, 1 shiny Uxie and 1 shiny azelf. 4 dialgas and 6 palkias (no shinies) 😢

Please make a longer video going through comments and reading the comments. Like really going through in a video reading the response from your fanbase what their experience and what could be improved. I really feel like Niantic did ímproce since Hoenn Tour but there is just one thing that really messed things up; The moves was not guaranteed. Here's my experience; i'm honestly going to rate this event an 7/10. The only missing thing for a 8 would be that the moves should have been guaranteed or atleast Elite TM'able during the event hours. I get they are special effects but doing the RNG for raids, getting a 98, a 100% or something. Or even as Jonkus got a Shundo o-Palkia that does not have Spacial Rend feels just like when I raided Shadow Zapdos a few weeks ago and shiny was turned off. You adverstise for a big event but still locking stuff behind walls to get more money by forcing people to play the RNG game. A 9 could be achived with slight additional boost to shiny and released atleast Manaphy and Phione. I get that Arceus needs it's special way but doing it during this seasons research could have been better. A better way of doing these events are not limiting these raids with a special move that can only be gotten during the event. I was just raiding and raiding this whole event. I wasn't focused on catching at all. Niantic could have removed this by letting us TM Spacial Rend and Roar of Time while also giving us 3-5 addtional days to raid it. Palkia and Dialga raids should have gone on until Tuesday. Febuary raids has been a mess. Why were there two weeks of a Generation 3 Mega Pokemon? Why could't it been a week of Giratina-O/Palkia/Dialga/Heatran/Darkrai/Cresselia? (Regiggas was fairly recently.) and then ending the month with Dialga and Palkia Origin Forms in raids while letting us Raid both forms during the event? And then we have the last days of the Timeless Travels Season to get Roar of Time Dialga-O and Spacial Rend Palkia-O. If not even giving us the GoFest challenges to unlock the moves for Sinnoh Forms aswell and letting us TM those? This could have been the a big 10/10 the best event they've done if they did this. I really wanted to go more for the third hour of hunting Gible for XL candy and then to also trade them away for XL, Cranidos XLs, Rhyhorn XLs, Shiny Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf spawns but I could not due to the FOMO of Spacial Rend Palkia and Roar of Time Dialga was only for the 8 hours and gives a massive advantage in Master League. For Gofest or Unova Tour, please do not lock any Pokemon's moves behind an event wall like Roar of Time and Spacial Rend.
