The intro to this video is way more exciting than what the actual event was. I was there and Niantic could have done a better job with organizing habitats, adding routes, and team sections. There was a trivia tent and empty ambassador tents but no team tents. Broken charging power bank stations and one water station that a few of us found. Some players got free items while others didn’t (like 2024 sinnoh pins) Other than Niantic lack luster organizing skills I met some great people! :)

@Fryedpichu I made it to a local pokemon card tournament last year. They had a pop up pokemon store there and some special research ect. Can always check your local cities for those types as well. It tied into pokemon go well and was just an overall really cool experience. To answer your question they'll probably announce it about 60-90 days ahead of time.
