I don't people realise how hard Matt actually is. I dug up my old copy of wii sports trying to beat all the champions. And trust me, they're all as hard as Poof makes them look. Poof isn't bad, they're just really hard. To beat Matt in this, you basically have to guess which way to slice, because he's so fucking quick, and also rubber bands, so he slows down if he's a good bit ahead or goes even faster if you're ahead. Poof doesn’t know the cheat strategy I figured out over a year ago lol. So one time I beated Matt for the first time in several years. My data got formatted MEANING EVERY PROGRESS ON A WII GAME GETS RESETED. So I was mad about it so I cheated to beat Matt. How? I would hit the home button on the wii remote till I can see where the arrows were pointing. So after that I would leave the menu and slice it. It’s cheaty but still I’m not dealing with rage anymore lol.

Watching matt closely, it’s more RNG than you think, probably 80% of the time he’s lined up on the perfect angle and starting to swing before the arrow is physically visible. sub frame movement just because the game updates at 60 fps doesnt mean that everything on the console is limited to that im not sure at all btw just an assumption but the outward physical stuff like the tv and wiimotes camera can only update so fast the internals not so much meaning the ai CAN react faster and smoother then you even if it knew the direction to swing at the exact same time you did

Matt has two variables in his strategy. One, his sword will move in the general vicinity of the correct direction of the slice. Two, he will hold his sword in the exact opposite of the swing direction so you can almost always determine the slices in more of a 50/50 ratio. Perfect Dark you could use the perfect or dark sims to reveal opponent locations because they were always pointing at them regardless of what walls they were behind. Cpu exploits are great like that! But... then again you can just use the pause/home button trick to beat Matt lol
