the fucking steering in the space mii race is orthogonal, as in, you press down on the remote, your mii points south and then you press 2 to make your mii go south. you do not hold one button to steer your mii left and right, because that just makes you hug one wall the entire race. i IMMEDIATELY got this minigame as a kid and have won NEARLY EVERY TIME. so, you hold left first, spam 2 the entire way, diagonal up+left, diagonal up+right, right, diagonal down+right, right, up+right, up, up+left, left, and you just finished the lap. MOVE IT IN CIRCLES BASICALLY
