One thing I've seen people do is write a list on signs on a wall somewhere in or around their base. Once you complete a task its highly satisfying to remove the signs once a project is complete.

i do something similar but i put glow ink on completed projects to remind me of how much i've done, it also helps keeping me motivated

And here I am, constantly looking for a forever seed. I’ve only been playing since Lockdown 2020 (at 50 yrs old, I’m not the intended demographic), and I’ve never been to The End (can I visit an End Ship w/out killing the dragon?). I guess that’s what good about Minecraft: it’s my world and I can play however I want.

Yes you can bridge out to the end islands before killing the dragon. Toycat has done it before. You need about 10 stacks of blocks.

i built an ice boat path that kept me motivated for at least a month because i had to farm for all the ice, cobble, glass etc and get materials for all the farms and i need to keep extending it to get to my unmoveable location tied farms

When I was little, there was a bucket of loose lego that would sit in the lobby of the place my parents worked. Whenever I would go there after school, my previous build would invariably have been destroyed and returned to the bucket. I got really good at making the same weird zoid-like cat mech thing, despite its intricacies. Over and over and over. And I found it fun every time lol. Anyway. Good discussion. I honestly have never stuck with Minecraft for very long lol and I didn't get into it until like.. WAY after its initial popularity (like... 1.17?). But I do still enjoy watching MC youtubers every once in a while. The random redstone video I don't understand at all. Toycat. GeminiTay, who I've watched since it was a tiny channel. Eh. Who knows why!

I'm playing in the same world for almost 9 years with the counter at 25500 minecraft dags as we speak. My advice, allow yourself to take a break if you can't find inspiration/motivation at the moment, because it can ruin the experience later on. But my advice to keep it going: implement a lore, doesn't matter how crazy (it's your party) switch projects when you get a bit burned out. And last.. I guess you also have to be the type of player for it, some thrive on temporary experience i.e. servers that reset every 9-12 months other like stability and develop their skills and efforts.

Statistically speaking it is absolutely worth it to play the lotto, at least here in the United States. Even in an entire lifetime, the money you spend on tickets is nothing compared to what you could win.

Outro joke asking the big, important questions, 9/10! 20:15- For entirely too many people, reality states that they will likely struggle to survive; being homeless, hungry, sick, abandoned, at some points; right up until they die. This makes us naturally not want to live, but our genes have developed in ways that make stopping living very hard, especially at young ages. People in these situations are the ones who play the lottery a lot; and also drink, smoke, go home with people they meet at the bar drinking and smoking, etc., a lot. Interesting personal story; all I ever wanted, from the time I was a toddler, was to get married and have at least two babies. Nothing could discourage me. I pursued my goals with a single-minded laser-focus. After being forced to run for my and my baby’s lives once, I doubled down and found another man to complete my family goal with. It is hard to describe my ecstasy when my second child, my daughter, was born. I was high for over a YEAR. We were flat broke; ALL FOUR of us had to move back in with my mother for 6 months. I didn’t care. My dream had been achieved! Then, a little after my daughter turned 1 and we all moved back OUT from living with my mother, the thought came creeping in; what was my goal now? I wasn’t even halfway through my life, probably, and I had achieved my life goal. Since then, the need to RAISE the children I produced has kept me going pretty well, but there will never be another feeling like the one of bringing my daughter home and our family finally feeling complete. Never. I’m so glad I got to experience that! ❤

Sad fact that if this days counter is linked to the statistics already in the game it's likely broken before it starts. I have a 3 year world that I moved from PS4 to Xbox a year ago using Realms and it completely wiped out my stats, probably messing with the upcoming day counter😢

I used to have to walk and take a boat then swim then tunnel down through water to get to an end portal room in the first stronghold we found but now I found one under a nearby village, so much less far and so much less deep underground near a planter in the village it's much more accessible.. I even intend to possibly use some of the rooms in the stronghold for another base or store for trade with the villagers.. or something ..

Is someone going to tell him the number of days played displayed is inaccurate. In one day (24 hours) there are 72 Minecraft days because a single Minecraft day (including the night) is 20 minutes. From the date listed in the video of his world was created to May 6th, 2024, that would be 303,840 days. Not saying he’s been playing that many Minecraft days, obviously Toycat’s got to do human stuff, but the number displayed is definitely inaccurate given the documented time of him playing this Minecraft world recorded here on youtube

I think it's becayse Minecraft days are only the full 20 minutes long if you never sleep in a bed. For example if you sleep every single sunset without fail, you're skipping the days where each day becomes a minimum of 10 minutes long.

Your math seems weird. I think he's played about 82 days in this world. That's real world, human time, 24 hour periods. 82 I think, setting aside time skipped sleeping during the night cycle which the previous responder mentioned. I'm not sure how that affects his numbers exactly.

I had a world i created back in 1.13. I didnt have much on that world, i didnt have a good imagination. Then comes the 1.17 caves and cliffs and corrupts the world. I got angry because thats the only world of a few that got corrupted. I try to make new worlds here and there, but wish i had the original
