DON'T back up your game regularly. Use Git to turn your development folder into a repository. Sync your repository to Github and you won't lose your files even if your computer is crushed in a bizarre steamroller accident. Git and Github are free. Tutorials to do all of this are all over KZbin and elsewhere. You won't have to make multiple copies of your project, you will be able to revive past versions, and you will never lose another file. In 2019, indies have the same tools the pros have, and great lot of them are free.

From what I saw I agree with the feedback he had. Anything you can do to make it more immersive and maintain the atmosphere will really serve to make it awesome. UI is *the* main issue, so once you deal with that, the only real thing that is prominent is what he talked about toward the end where it feels like a long tutorial because you just go over a checklist of mechanics one after the other.

Hi! Everyone, who are developing a game, use github or other project version control. They are not hard to learn and can mostly be used with desktop applications. Make a habit of everytime you complete a feature, you push it to github. I guarentee that is better than lose months of progress due to corrupted files or broken ssd! Also I recommended keeping at least one "tutorial repository", where to keep all done tutorials and/or your playground tests with different features or game prototypes.

Description is key to mobile game as game title and description can shot up your visibility in the app store. I would also suggest using keywords (Golden rule: using exactly 5 times) in description, title and short description as well.

In dev mobile games are actually quite common. I play a beta one myself. It's an idle clicker game. Or that's what it'd be called on PC anyway. Pretty neato game. As to why it's common, i can only guess it's because it helps for feedback. You can set the reviews for dev eyes only, when the game is in beta. So it's kinda like how you collect your data for your game you're making. :D

Good vid, but I think you should pick the games you play based on "email quality" or something like that. Like how interesting the screenshots are, if there are any etc...
@ChrisD__5 жыл бұрын
There's already too much marketing related competition between developers, a random lottery is a nice change.
@JonasTyroller5 жыл бұрын
As this is a feedback series I don't want the game quality to be a deciding factor. The e-mail quality is not something that makes me play a game but it is something that can make me not play a game. If I feel like 0 effort was put into the e-mail I don't feel particularly inclined to give feedback. - Usually not the case, though. Most e-mails are quite solid. :)
