@BrandonHarding2 жыл бұрын
Being 2 days out myself, dieting for 13 weeks and losing 30+lbs, this video was very hard to watch! 😂 I'm not sure if it was a skit as I'm only halfway through, but binging after one day of sticking to a plan, losing strength after two days of eating healthy food and portraying dieting as an extremely mentally challenging thing is personally something I can't agree with. Absolutely love you Jesse, but this video is not an accurate representation of dieting for a show, it's an incredible experience that I think everybody should push themselves towards! You learn so much about yourself physically, mentally and spiritually while undergoing such a challenging process, it's honestly quite a wonderful experience in a crazy way. I was definitely expecting more willpower in this video and a more positive message from the beginning. Incredibly well edited video nevertheless, extremely entertaining but definitely representation of how not to prep. Meals don't have to be bland, I eat six meals but I absolutely love every single day, you just need to learn how to cook them properly, or utilise the macro nutrient breakdown of the food to make interesting meals, rather than boring ones, as you very well know Jesse! Hope you are doing well after the show, definitely think of sticking to French toast covered in 0 cal syrup to maintain your strength in numbers and lean physique is the way to go brother! ❤
@JesseJamesWest2 жыл бұрын
Hey bro all love don’t worry! I know this isn’t an accurate representation. This was an extreme crash diet to attempt getting leaner fast than most ppl would. Hopefully that message got through but if it didn’t I hope me responding can fix that. I just simply documented as I felt with full transparency. Guess my experience isn’t valid! Good luck on your show, Lol Edited bc I didn’t fully read your message first time i responded
@alexjones85452 жыл бұрын
I think the key here is the time frame. You said it yourself, you’ve been dieting for 13 weeks while Jesse did an extreme crash diet over just 2 weeks. Obviously prepping for a show in that little time will be much more painful than if you did it the right way. I don’t think Jesse was trying to hide the ridiculousness of this or mislead his viewers. I applaud Jesse for putting himself through this, but I’d love to see him prep for a show the right way as well! Note: Not a bodybuilder, just consume a lot of fitness/bodybuilding content
@NeomediaDesignGroup2 жыл бұрын
Brandon.... He did say "I don't recommend crash dieting" at 8:55 🤷♂
@keepushing3332 жыл бұрын
@@JesseJamesWest Brandon is saying that portraying yourself being ridiculously weak and mentally struggling on the second day of a two week prep, after eating multiple thousands of calories in excess of maintenance the day prior, is a pretty poor and inaccurate representation to the people out there of prep. To someone who dedicates their life to competing, your take is probably borderline insulting and feels dishonest. I didn't understand if the beginning was a skit or not either, that didn't make sense. Like your stuff though and think you looked great
