What are your favorite techniques you discovered this year?

The pittsburgh analog delay has a fast time delay cv. So I use a sample and hold that has ben triggered by a note and some white noise into the sample and hold, then the sample output goes into the delay time. So every note (usually divisions every now and then) makes the delay jumping in time, I can make feedbacks with this if I high-pass filter the delay. You can hear this effect on my track "Warten" very well.

I also love messing around with Saich from Instruo into a buchlaid waveshaper and trying out different vca modes.

Nice sharing, I usually use a karplus strong for noise with dry/wet at 50% to give it the metallic shimmering and not so much the hizz of the noise.

you can';t really overuse a technique ,if it works then why try and fix it? all things in life results in using the things you know work. I use the same techniques constantly when playing with my modular system same applies to any music making concept, it's why we have genres and trends in music making. the joy comes from the subtleties where no 2 patches (even if using similar techniques) are the same
