A similar but stronger build: replace crossbow with magic bow. Magic bow has nice bullet damage and when you reload it, the arrows will come back, which may activate another Ethereal

And the Frost update makes the game much easier, I don't know why u don't take it several times.

I played the shotgun build with Diamond and got 21K kills with it. I'm close to getting every character and gun in the game at darkness 15. I I will comment after the video too.

I noticed the spinning skill doesnt work with only 1 ammo even with ethereal. I play on mobile it might be different idk

how do you know when you are not consuming ammo? there is not sound or visuals to tell that the buff is on, how do you know?

So the way you can tell is if your ammo count doesn’t drop after you fire the crossbow. If it still says 1/1 after firing your shot, then ethereal has triggered and you can proceed to spin.

Is there any reason you only stay at the edge and don't actively pick up xp orbs?

Yes there is. This is not something 1000% confirmed, but I am very confident in saying that moving around the map lowers enemy spawn rates. As far as why specifically the edge, enemies killed out of bounds have their exp drops automatically picked up, so hanging out at the edge saves you the time from having to walk around and pick it up.

Have you tried it with a more bullet-damage-heavy upgrade package? Crossbow has the 2nd highest (tied with Revolver) bullet damage, so percentage increases are really good on it. If you don't take any bullet damage penalties Big Shot is almost as strong as Death Rounds, for instance (+9 damage per shot instead of +10) and the Soul Heart line is crazy strong (+60 per shot assuming you pick up 20 Soul Hearts). I guess I'm trying this. Abby is my 2nd favorite character so how can I not? I never even considered Abby Crossbow before :-)

@@jgray2718 i think they opt for death rounds because the wording implies its not affected by bonuses or penalties, since it doesnt say ''increase bullet damage by 10'', it states ''your bullets do extra 10 damage'' which would make it more similar to onhit effects if it is implemented the way its worded

@@jgray2718 I don't know if it's necessary with all that attack speed but I may be wrong. Only tried the build twice but on my second run I got Kunoichi much ealier and I got over 27k kills on that run despite not going for any massive damage perks.

I tried it. It was definitely interesting, but my bullet damage version was bad. I couldn't get enough on-hit damage to give the real version a try yet, but it's definitely cool. It reminds me a lot of Spark SMG with Miniclip.

Dragon Bond does update dynamically for some buffs, but I don't remember which. I think it used to be bugged with Sharpen, but Cranberry remembers better than I do. I have no idea what works with it now.

Getting smite and wind torando thingy (sorry i don't know names) earlier would be better otherwise cool video and cool build

I think they help in the early game quite a bit, but in the long term they probably aren't as useful as the core perks to this build. I can see smite having some potential though even in the long term.
