Also thanks for being such a huge inspiration on this project. I’m using this video as an opportunity to teach myself and also to teach 2 younger guys along with me since they’re interested. Can you share your parts list for what you used to piece together that customers up pipe/cross over pipe assembly that you made? Thanks!

Yeah I do plan to build a new motor for it and swap it in a re wire and body the truck. Already started gathering parts from R&D for a build. The body is completely junk, frame is good, but I will rebody truck

What size injectors did you put in?
@AtomsForFuel9 ай бұрын
Hey, I’m going to replicate exactly what you’ve done here for my Gen 1 Banks Turbo kit that I bought. Problem is that It didn’t come with the Y pipe Up pipe collector and so I’ve got to make that all myself! I was planning on using the stock n/a Y pipe and then doing the same U pipe that you did and then custom make that up pipe section that plugs into the turbo hot side. I’m buying a welder and learning how to weld for this and I’m thinking of picking up a stick welder but maybe flux core is better. What do you think?
@shadytreekustomz62689 ай бұрын
It’s really hard to stick weld exhaust pipe. I tried it on this setup and had leaks, so I just went to the clamps and the exhaust sealer. It worked great I had no leaks from the up pipe, you could easily tell if it did with the amount of smoke it makes
@shadytreekustomz62689 ай бұрын
A mig welder is needed for exhaust pipe though, I’d get one if you want to attempt to weld it

Something is not right. You should not have more smoke when adding air...
@shadytreekustomz62689 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t say it’s more, it smoked a TON before the turbo haha, it definitely cleans up once you get the rpm’s up and the turbo spools though, I do think there’s also an air intrusion issue unfortunately
