I've been running a zima for my home bulk/backup storage for a few months now. The biggest selling point which isn't advertised or even mentioned anywhere to my knowledge (I rolled the dice when I bought mine), is that the external sata ports DO support port multiplication/switching. I have 9x 4TB HDDs connected to mine via 2 esata enclosures (1x 4-bay and 1x 5-bay) and sata to esata cables. Obviously this creates huge bottlenecks making most raid approaches very tricky but with a bit of ZFS tuning and a 500GB nvme SSD in an adapter card in the side slot for caching (zil/arc) I'm able to saturate both Gbe NICs (which I have bonded) in almost every sequential read or write workload I've thrown at it.

This seems like a cool little board/server/something, but since I live in sweden, it would cost tremendous amounts in shipping and extra taxes so if I will buy a server it probably won't be this one.

Okay, it's just that other products shipped from countries like the U.S (outside of the E.U)adds 1600 swedish crowns to the price plus 25% tax. Maybe the company will not charge for shipping, but the actual country will. 1600 crowns is more than the actual product costs.
