I was coming to stevens in January then I got a opportunity with a local company flatbed and driving tankers with a 18 speed. So much fun but very stressful as a new driver in traffic and hills at stop lights 😂 . Enjoy your journey and enjoy the family time much respect for making a decision for yourself.

Thank you brother, I appreciate it. The decision didn't come easy at ALL. But my family comes first, and I'm excited to learn a different aspect of trucking. Can't wait to start making the new videos already !

What are you weekly paychecks looking like there. Will i net 1k a week there? I need to know if i can pay my mortgage and bills while working there.

Depends on if u go home. Depends on if u go lease or company. Your average will prob be 1k gross a week. Average meaning one week might be 1300. Next week might be 800, etc. even in the lease division, that hometime once a month really sets u back. Id say 1k gross a week is normal/average. Maybe 1200.. Takehome after all taxes paid 1k a week? Maybe , but maybe not. There's big ups and downs whether you're in the company side or Lease side . You can have a breakdown for a week. And not get paid. or you can have a breakdown in the Lease Division and be negative cause u got truck payment. If I needed to make a guaranteed $1000 a week take home , I don't know if I would chance it. You could probably do it but you definitely need a nest egg initially so that you can deal with the ups and downs. Honestly I think it's like a $50-$60,000 a year job .

@indo3052 the recruiter told me about the $700 weekly during otr training and then 1k guarantee for the first 90 days on my own. But I see there's a lot of fine print with that. And I expect that. I just want to be a regular employee for a year so I can get my experience. And I was figuring on coming home once every 2 months. I'm willing to put the work and hours in. I make 1k at my job doing 34 hours. But I can't really move up any further at my job or increase my pay all that much more than a few hundred if I put more hours in. But I know in trucking it's possible to make several thousand a week after you put a little time in and give around to better companies. I've reas lots of reviews of people at Steven's making 500 a week on average. So I'm wondering if that's normal or if that's just people who want to go ho.e every week or two? So I figured I'd ask you. And thanks for your feedback

Someone like urself with a girl, family n friends. Theres no way ud be able to do otr longterm or even a year. I wasnt being negative, i was being realistic. Plus the moneys not worth it to be out that long. Moneys not worth it
