Congratulations on your achievement!🎉 I am hoping to reach 100 subscribers before the end of the year. Your comment about becoming an authority is true because I find that people seem less likely to subscribe when they find that you have very few subscribers, and are more likely to subscribe when you already have a good amount of subscribers, so it is still a long journey ahead, but I think the key is to keep going and to try to offer value in each video.

Hitting a thousand 🥳👌 Congrats. I am at about 1,1K myself and still far far away from being monetized because most of my videos are shorts and they dont count in the watch time. I should do more longs, but I have been too busy with life lately. So when the busyness cools down, I think I will be making more longs. Talking to the camera is weird though, I need to get used to that preferrably sooner than later 😀 Keep up the good work, always a pleasure to watch / listen 👌

What you said about clicking on your videos after 1000 is true... people look for authority in a particular subject... a channel with 100 subs and 100k subs can have similar content, but people will tend to click on the channel with more subscribers. Maybe out of curiosity. Also have you noticed your upload speed increase when you reached a certain milestone? I feel like my upload speed to KZbin increased after 500subs when I got in the tier 1 ypp... also congratulations

That is an interesting observation, I hadn't noticed actually. I did change from 1080p videos to 4k videos a few weeks back and I did notice it took considerably longer for KZbin to process the 4k vids (which was expected)

I try not to compare because it isn't helpful, but every time I think about how you started 3 months before me and had more traction on your first video than I have from all of my videos in my entire 1.5 month journey, it stings a little. I keep grinding away though. Also I still think you are very much on track for that Jan 21, 2025 target for 4k WTHs. Keep up the great work man.

Hahaha, the «SEO»’ers have popped up in my emails from almost in the beginning, around 100-ish subs, very easy in most cases to dismiss when they send a screenshot of «your channel» or a video page with one of your thumbnails in it, but all the data is wrong in the screenshot, just some random numbers and followers and likes etc. It easy to remember the general rules: - if it sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true - there is no such thing as a free lunch - *anyone* offering their services to you when you are a smaller ‘tuber is out to try and make some quick cash off your hard work, with almost no value for you. Collabs really are the way to go (congrats on yours btw :) since it builds on mutual value exchange, any paid service when you are not making money on youtube is not worth it, there are no shortcuts other than randomly having a video pop off (which might not even be a win in the long run) and the only path to a solid foundation for most people is solid groundwork and constant improvement :)

I haven't even reached 100 subscribers yet but I have already received several emails from people offering to help improve the SEO on my channel. I notice that most of them seem to come from the same country and send the same 'template' in their emails.

Exactly! It's like people come out of the woodwork all of a sudden. I started to notice it mostly just a few weeks ago all of a sudden. What's hilarious about this SEO Optimizer guy is that I was listening to the Tube-Talk Podcast which is run by vidIQ and the SEO guy emailed them a screenshot of their video with all these red boxes and lines and all of the data they were highlighting were vidIQ data lmao. It was funny listening to them react to that.

@@Ty_Myers Hahahahaha, live review of the SEO-guy’s email is hilarious :) It wouldn’t surprise me if those emails are somewhat automated, just harvesting screenshots and info from the channel and spew’ing it out. I’ve had a couple of real emails when I was around the 3-400 subs mark though, one was for someone making a Davinci Resolve asset pack, animated intros and graphs and elements, and the other was for Dehancer, the film-emulation plugin for graining things up and making it look more like film, no money offered up, just free copy of the asset pack and plugin and an affiliate link for both of them to maybe make a little cash - haven’t taken them up on it though, couldn’t find the time to do those videos properly and to do them properly it would probably take me close to 8-10 hours just digging into the products and make *something* useful with them - maybe in the future :)
