Another quality video Jermaine. With those ultra wide indoor shots the focal length of the 12 is much better than the 13, almost up there with the Xiaomi and with my untrained eye really impressed by how good that 12 looked... Keep up the great work...

Currently using the magic 6 pro but it really over saturates certain colours and the sharpening can be way too aggressive. So the 12 looks more natural in comparison and that master mode will great to use also...

Hi Jermaine, you know that I have already complained about skin tones of the 14 Ultra on previous videos, especially in regards to the portrait mode. Someone on reddit suggested to change the metering to average instead of the default face option, and it made a HUGE difference for me. Portrait mode pictures never looked this good, the overly overexposed skin tones are gone, now they look way more natural. You should try it, and hopefully talk about it in some other video if you get the same improved results as I'm getting

the Xiaomi has had many updates. probably the OnePlus not yet. I think I would go for the OnePlus. I look at the whole picture. because I don't like harmony os, or it has to be better now. with Xiaomi you always get apps already set, that you don't want I think. what is the update policy of Xiaomi now? do you get a monthly update? Voor mij hetzelfde, foto kwaliteit boven het zoom bereik. Mobiele telefoons zijn hier tot nu toe niet echt geschikt voor. Ook vind ik de Xiaomi qua kleur tonen ook veel prettiger, ze zijn wat natuurlijker net als mijn Sony Xperia 1 V. Aanpassingen zijn makkelijk te doen in de Adobe Lightroom Mobile app of een andere soortgelijke app. Die AI over sharpening kan foto's juist verpesten. All I can do is use youcut to compress it again and then it will be better. The 13 still has a BIT of a stutter which is down to oneplus itself, but not as big as some shots.

But I try to stay away from that, I just make sure I talk about the feel it creates for me, and which reflects more of the reality ^^ the sharpening of course as well as colours and the way oneplus does it can be someone else preference and in that I think you can compare them well, of course zoom is better on the 14 ultra as well the telephoto for close up shots ^^

So at the end, if you go the pro mode and manually adjust the parameters you can get a pretty decent shot with oneplus 13 and obviously Xiaomi being superior

jep pretty much :D apart from the telephoto periscope, that well... that 50 cm minimum focus distance I cannot fix, maybe somehow for the global version it will be, but i think that is purely down to hardware.

For me human subject photos and portraits are what I value most and the Oneplus 13 was miles better for the portraits of yourself. Xiaomi 14 ultra's portraits were so bad it would kill it for me despite it obviously being the better overall camera phone. Oneplus has very good skin colour in the portraits in this video. I tried the Xiaomi 15 and I think they have improved the human subject photos but the skin tone is still off and it's much weaker than Vivo and OPPO in this area

yeah some shots has it mostly at the edges. That's why I always say with Xiaomi there are things they MUST work at. Biggest complained for me right now is the inconsistent sharpening in cases and portrait.

I immediately appreciated the photographic approach of this 1+13 compared here to the 14U, very similar in lot of aspects on main, Xiaomi's UW is out of competition with it's unbeatable 12mm. But overall and with the quality of its cameras (telemacro) and interface I would say 14U slightly ahead. 1+13 has huge room for improvement in camera dep. Greetings

I had a Vivo X80 Pro i was waiting for the X100 never came to my country, neither the X200 so i did see the Xiaomi 14 Ultra at deal 799€ and bought it. I have to be honest with you, despite zoom being better, the main camera HDR and low light, i'm impressed how the vivo manages to outperform the xiaomi. Could you compare both? I'm missing something out... I might do a review to compare because i'm atonished how a 3 years old device has such a great camera!

Oh man that X80 Pro I really liked that!!! the fingerprint scanner is so damn good!!! And a 799 deal on the 14 Ultra damnnn!!!!!!! And outperforms in low light it depends on what you are looking for in the shots, Vivo lacks that feel of night, where the Xiaomi does that. But vivo is without a doubt better in handeling highlights

HDR although as you said is just amazing on the vivo. Oh and ultra wide on xiaomi is Superb and 4k 60fps video on all camera, is what i missed on the vivo, the fingerprint although meh vivo is just supreme haha 😂, good video btw i enjoyed it!

When taking random photos your not going to day omg i don't want the photos to look great or brighter or sharper . This is for a pro type moment where you need thst pro type moments . You seem to be overly obsessed with "depth" and "mood"! Just like the majority of people who are actually going to buy these phones, I like my photos to be well-exposed, sharp and vibrant and if I want that classic photography look there are so many filters out there to achieve that. Yes, OP 13's processing appears to be a bit heavy with its sharpening algorithms but it's not going overboard, all the recent iPhones do that, so does Samsung. It's all about the overall image quality and OnePlus produces very pleasing shots despite having a smaller sensor.
