I totally relate. Have been working in the corporate world for nearly 15 years. I cannot see myself keep doing this for no longer. The society has set up a specific path which means going to school, then university, a career for 40 years, a child, maybe a second child, a marriage. This is not for everyone, and there is NOTHING wrong in admitting this.

I’m pausing uni this semester to pursue full time filmmaking after doing it part time. Crazy that this popped up on my recommended right after I was debating with my mum on my decision. Can’t wait to see how you grow.

That's great to hear! In the grand scheme of things, taking a semester off to pursue your interest won't delay you that much considering you're going to be working for the next 40 years. Everyone runs their own race! The way my mum got on board with the decision was that she saw the dedication and work ethic. So if you apply yourself in film making I'm sure your mum will come on board eventually. Thank you!
