So so proud of you! Like you said, your time at a commercial gym was not a mistake but rather a learning experience. You are such an inspiration! Onto bigger and better things :)

I’ve treated a lot of people and athletes with sciatica pain, especially after lifting. The best way to go about treating it is making sure you stretch your hip flexors and glutes. Avoid smashing a lacrosse ball on it. Then with rehab focus on a lot of extension based exercises such as cobra , cat/camel, and standing back bends. Also focus on core work: planks, side planks, bridges , and wall sit with ball squeeze. When it comes to lifting, doing it in front of a mirror can help you see if you’re leaning into one side more than the other. This can also be the cause of irritating the nerve. So focusing on fixing the rotation in the hips or imbalance will help to fix it so you don’t keep irritating it. 😊 hope this helps. If you have any other questions let me know.

Wow! This is so helpful, thank you so much!! I have definitely noticed that I lean towards my right side a lot, can see it during squats, various other exercises but even when I sit I lean that way. I’m going to incorporate your tips!! Thank you, really appreciate it

@ yep so if that’s the case lots of stretching on the right and single leg strengthening on the L. You can obviously workout both sides. But I would focus on longer holds and maybe a few more reps on the left. when you’re rotated to the R : right side is tighter and over-engaged. The L will become slightly weaker through the glutes and legs since you’re being pulled to the R.

Hi Dayana! Love your vlogs, thanks for sharing. Sometimes it’s a bit hard to hear you, with the loud TV in the background? Is it just me? I’m old, 👵🏻, lol.

You’ve got me hooked on the churro chips now😂the only thing that bummed me out is they don’t put much chips in it and I go through the whole bag within a day! That’s good you quit your job, it probably was a good experience for you but I also heard PT isn’t that great especially in a gym, I went to college for my exercise science but never finished and wanted to do PT but people said it’s not worth it and you make money off commission and I’m not good with sales what so ever. Are you going to just do online training or training people at home? I’ve made Caramelized dates too! I’ve had it with apples during fall and it’s so good!

Wait stop I’m so glad you said that because I’ve literally been thinking the same thing!! It’s like 1/4 filled??? Two bites and you’re done 😭 Yesss it’s absolutely not worth it. The gym takes the bulk of the money. Obviously every gym is priced differently with their packages but at mine, training sessions were 130+ and you got paid based off how many sessions you were doing per pay period, however, out of that 1 session you get like 30 bucks before taxes. And the sales part is misery. My bf used to work at 24 before covid, and he used to get decent commission there, but now gyms are so so different and commission isn’t even a thing for most gyms. Just going to focus on online training - a few in person as I do have my home gym!
