I'm quitting my job at GNC to pursue KZbin full time as a content creator traveling the U.S in a Tesla Model Y.
I'm going to be travelling the United States full time and travelling in my Tesla for about a month or two...I can't wait to show you guys the journey! I have a StarLink also so it will be cool just editing/uploading videos while in the desert lol!

Hi, I’m Nico Murillo, and I recently got laid off from Tesla on 4/15/2024. I was a Production Supervisor, and was with the company for 5 years. I started in 2019, as an entry level Production Associate. After getting laid off, had to make the decision to sell the house. I decided to sell most of my belongings and move into my 2021 Tesla Model Y. When I worked at Tesla, I slept in my car on work days to avoid my 3 hour round trip commute time from Lathrop, Ca to Fremont, Ca. I created a platform in my trunk with the use of Michaels, Home Depot products, and a soft mattress, where I now call my home. Living in my car enables me to save money, and invest it. I am documenting my journey to financial independence by 2029. My hope is that by sharing my own personal highs and lows along this (sometimes) wild journey, you might be inspired to look into financial independence. Maybe one day i'll see you at GNC in Stoneridge Mall Pleasanton, Ca. I currently work there now as a supplements store manager. I am off Sundays and Wednesdays though.

My next job will always be higher salary than my current one or else I would feel like I failed. Higher salary means more responsibility and more stress. Many people have asked me (including my mother) if I would be happier and less stressful if I take on a less demanding, less paying position. I just retired at the age of 42. Work smarter not harder. I worked hard at saving money and learning how to invest. Now I have over 7 figures invested that will give me 100k to live off of each year with the stock market returning 10% a year. It's not about how much money you make, it's about how much money you keep that adds to your net worth and buys you freedom to do what you want. Making 60k-80k each year for 15 years and I still have every dime of it because of working hard on savings and investing not on moving up the corporate ladder. There is no such thing as failure, the only time you fail is if you just quit. As we can all see my friends we can learn new ways of seeing and understand the world. Find the best thinkers out there and learn to think like them.

My son adopted a similar lifestyle a number of years ago. He will work in the Grand Canyon for a year or two, save a bunch of money, then take 6 months to a year off and travel the country. He car camps out of his RAV4 and just embarked on a 100 day trip across America. Good luck Nico!

That’s all good Nico. Just be wary that even once you’ve reached your point of “success” there’s always the realisation of its normalisation or the hedonistic adaption that happens. Financial freedom should not be the end goal as it can still leave you empty and miserable. Strong relationships are usually the markers for a more fulfilling life.

I fully support this move. There are so many things I wish I dared to do when I was in my twenties (mainly travel overseas and within the U.S.). Unfortunately, I let the fear of the unknown hold me back. Now I'm 31 (married, no kids) about to be 32 and I feel like I'm too old now and still have those fears to a certain degree. As a full time YT I would suggest you pick and focus a certain direction for this channel and stick with that, excel in creating contents around the direction you chose. Finance Health Fitness Travel type vlog Seeing your channel for awhile I think you fit more in the health fitness + trave living in car type combined type vlog and make your contents interesting interacting with other YTbers or people in your vids to mix things up. Example go on a survey with random people on the road asking them how they feel about people like you living in your car to chase your dream etc. you need to be creative if you want to attract more subscribers growth or you will plateau at a certain point. Good luck , stay resilient and never give up chasing your dream!!

KZbin is a short term. Enjoy but, You need to find a steady job. You need to start building up your retirement. You'll be amazed how quickly time goes by. I started building up my retirement at the age of 30. By the time I turned 55, I had my first 1 million. I'll be retiring in the next 6 months. I'm 58 now.

I commend you on your journey. I am impressed that you have found many ways to make money. That is an awesome skill. This new direction sounds exciting. I am 67 and only had one job my whole life since school. Outside of investments I don’t think it’s possible for me to make money outside of my job so I am working as long as I can or until 70 when I think will pull the plug if I last that long. But aging is definitely taking its toll now.
