I am not reinstalling KZbin Studio either so I will no longer be checking comments from my phone. Hope you don't mind my slower replies!

I did this a few days ago. I ended up with clean and tidy yard because I cleaned and trimming the grass and trees all week to keep myself busy 😂 So touching grass is literally happened to me 🤣 But then when I go back to get the access to social media, i ended up binge watching video all day, yep it relapsed like you 😅 Now I am trying to balance my life, I want to retain that good habit I get that week. Ps. I started gardening that time, now I try to keep my plants stay alive. Wish me luck 🙏

@@Hana-kc1lq hey that's great Hana! Yeah keeping plants alive takes consistent attention and effort. Keep up the good work!! :)

Fun little experienment you did! Really unfortunate you got ghosted during it - but maybe it gave space to feel those feelings more and process it all better.

She eventually did reply and friendzoned me. I'm making a good bounce back though! I think it did help to stay with the feeling instead of drowning it in screen time.

Paul, the only social media I’ve used for the last four or five years has been KZbin (TV doesn’t really exist anymore for me just because I like to choose documentaries, and I like to watch videos from people like you, so I don’t count it as social media as long as I only watch what I want to, I have recommendations off). I’ll use chat apps to keep up with people, but I feel that as long as I’m never scrolling blindly (Never consuming something when you don’t know what’s going to come next) it’s all good. Before that even, I had removed a lot of my access to social media when I was 18, but I still used some others. I have to say that at 25 I think I feel normal..? I’m not as stressed out as my peers I think. I’ve certainly aged slower. I still use my phone and use the internet to search for things, but I’m a lot more optimistic about my life, going back to college, and even feeling.. good. I just have less negative thoughts in general. Anyways, it’s good to hear you want to be a bit healthier about your internet use, I thought sharing my own anecdote would help you. If you want some tips on how to better manage it without feeling “cut off” I can give you a few. Anyhow, good luck!

Thanks for sharing your experience dude. You sound like you've curbed your phone habit which is unusual for people your age. Glad to hear you're doing better because of it. All the best with going back to college! I'm working on my next challenge to film

Well done Paul, I don't think I would be able to do what you have done.I done without social media for a day recently and it was good,I read an entire book and listened to music.I think everything in moderation is the best idea.😊

Hey Paul I really enjoyed this video! Don’t sweat to much about the girl maybe she got in an accident and now is dead RIP 😢. I just came back home after a 12 hour train journey because I felt challenged by your challenge to do something challenging too. I had a great time thanks for the inspiration!

What an excellent experiment, and it seems you learned a lot! I don't think I could give up everything, but I only use KZbin and Instagram, nothing else. I went a whole day without Instagram yesterday, but I still used KZbin. I got some more reading in, played with dog, and took a nice walk in the time I would have spent on Instagram. 👍 I'm sorry to hear about the girl who ghosted you. My son went through the same thing, and I think it hurt me even more than him. He'd had a few dates with this girl, and really wanted to take her to the Prom (big, fancy dance 💃 in American High Schools)....things were going great, and then nothing, no explanation. That's the hardest part - no explanation. But don't let it mess with you, because then she wins ☹️ Just know you're awesome, and you'll find someone else 😊
@PaulYuNow4 ай бұрын
Thank you caboodle. That sucks about your son's date. Hope he finds someone else he can take to the prom. Yeah, even social media reduction is good, happy to hear about your activities without screen time!

That's a question that was better answered by Dr. K. I'll try to find that video for you and post it here.
I think u should buy a dumb keypad phone and sell this smartphone.And u can do ur important work on pc. Its simple yet effective. Cheers!

I appreciate the suggestion! I've seriously thought about it but I also use my phone as a journal and video camera so dumb phone is hard to compete with that
