Thanks as always for the wellness advice during lockdown here in the UK. Can't wait until we can start doing races again. Stuff like this matters now more than ever while we're all stuck indoors for much of the day.

whether you eat simple or complex carbs its is all still converted to glucose in the blood. your body does not care. if you need 2000 calories a day and you ingest 2000 calories a day it's irrelevant whether those were complex of simple carbs (sugars). Insulin resistance (diabetes) is caused by two factors over eating which causes sustained high blood sugar levels and not exercising. Diabetes has absolutely nothing to do with the type of carbs you eat whether its SUGAR or a complex carbs it is all still converted to glucose in the blood. The war on sugar is based on superstition not science. People want to moralize food (this is good food, this bad food) rather than take responsibility for what they put in their mouth and how they live. Sugars are carbs, carbs are an essential fuel of the body, not poison. EAT CARBS, EAT SUGAR, REJECT THE TRENDY DIETS.

We over eat in some other parts of the world and it's so hard to get a soda diabetes is almost unheard of so, it's your life to do what you want
