Can't wait to see you do a few more of these this year in 2024. I'm sure you'll get better but I'm glad to see how much you enjoyed it. If you get the chance do snowshoe next year

Really enjoying all the behind the scenes crap that goes into a race weekend. Awesome stuff that not many people show.

Thought I saw you in the pits but thought nah he wouldn’t be here. Went back to the camper and told my buddy. I could swear I just saw Justin starling. A about a hour later I was scrolling online and saw you was actually racing it. It was great to see you down there even if I didn’t realize it at the time.

I raced motocross as a A class amateur back in the 80's and early 90's and occasionally raced some 3 hour harescrambles as well and man at the 2 1/2 hour mark the pain really started kicking in in these races But like you said once you find that rhythm to it its a blast riding them even though I preferred racing motocross. I unfortunately also discovered that TREES DONT MOVE 🤣 Good ride👍

During the first part of the video, the sense I got from you was one of arrogance...a lot of talk about how you had never even heard of the top guys in offroad, etc., etc. As the video progressed, I could sense your attitude changing, and by the end, it was nothing but a show of respect and admiration for what these guys do. Kudos for the show of humility....I hope to see you back and learning from the experience.

To be completely honest, I really had no idea who was the top guys, or any of it. That was my first time ever riding a dirt bike through the woods.. only prior experience was mountain bikes in the woods. Those guys are unreal. Completely different world than Supercross, that’s for sure. I hope to be able to do Ironman again in 2024!

awesome to see when guys try the other disciplines of off road racing. GNCC racers are some of the toughest out there for sure. AM Pro crew are awesome. Ricky Russell great dude. I've had the pleasure of filming him when he would hit some of the locals. Great video glad you enjoyed woods racing!

Sweet video man, really cool that you came out to a GNCC. Definitely a Starling fan now, I have major respect for moto guys trying off road and off road guys trying moto. Enjoyed your perspective, really shows how tough these races are. Hope to see you at another and see how much you could improve now knowing what to expect. Looking forward to watching you in Supy, good luck and thanks for the cool video!

I had no idea you raced Ironman. Thats awesome, I heard you on pulpMX this week as well lol. I raced Moto for 4 years then came over to cross country 2 years ago and I haven't raced a moto since then. I absolutely love it. Hope to see you at another one soon!

Up in the NorthEast we have the JDAY series. It's most of a lap on a motocross track then it dips into the woods for about the same length as the moto section. It's a great series to try

Good on ya for finishing your first GNCC, 3 hours aswell! Great video, really shows behind the scenes, it captivated me to see your reactions to something i've become so accustomed to over the years. It was sort of like experiencing it again for the first time. I was hoping your camera crew would get some more shots of you riding the trail but for your first event I get it the course is huge. Since you are from Florida would you ever consider the Florida Round for your next GNCC?
@JustinStarlingMotocross8 ай бұрын
Hope you liked it! Yeah Daniel and I were very lost in the sense of where to film, how to film, let alone ride out there! We do plan to race Ironman again this year and we will be better! I’d love to do the gncc at wild boar in the future. With this year more than likely being my last Daytona Supercross, I’d like to try and race arenacross friday, and gncc Sunday in 2025!

What did you think of the Flexx bars? Did they help with the chop or was your mind so distracted that you couldn't tell if they benefitted or not?
@JustinStarlingMotocross Жыл бұрын
I honestly didn’t really notice them until about the 2 hour mark where I could pay attention to them. A lot of flex! Probably really really good for woods riding etc! I’m not sure how great for Supercross. I think too much flex

Glad you tried it, but seriously you NEVER rode a bike in the woods? Isn't that really the whole purpose of dirt bikes? Every moto guy I know at least rode pits as a youth. I guess we are spoiled on the east coast. Everyone has/rides woods over here.
@JustinStarlingMotocross8 ай бұрын
I know I know … I was informed that I raced the woods portion of Mini O’s back in I believe 2001… so it’s been awhile but that is my only time! I was on a 50 haha
