Great video .... Evo magazine UK about a decade ago did numerous speed tests on all production cars and the within the data it was determined that the Evo (8 at the time) was within the top 3 fastest I.C production cars 0-30mph in the world....

Cerakote is an insulator. It makes sense on the manifold, but it was not wise to put on your intercooler. It will be much less efficient in removing heat from the charge air.

Coating the intercooler is a BIG mistake. You said the coating keeps heat in which is fine for the exhaust but the worse thing you can do for charge air 🤔

I was just going to say the same thing. You would want a coating that allows for greater heat exchange on an intercooler. Just the opposite of what you typically want on an exhaust manifold.

As a kid growing up i always preferred subaru with their Impreza's. Then cama the goofy hatchback look. I feel the X took some of the soul out too but at least it wasn't a hachback. The evo at half that BHP would be absolute pleasure to own. I really just hope you don't wreck it out with drag racing. Those components are delicate! If i was rich enough to pick a 90/early 2000's car it'd be between the R34 and then IX, Maybe a rotary engine car too haha. This is surreal though, good to see people living their dreams and building them.

Thanks for the Heart. I only stated watching just as the Evo was getting finished up an it's first drive with friends. It's just such a beautiful example it'd even hurt spectators to see burning rubber. That era of Rally between the 8 and 9 with group B was made of cars designed for uses we'll never see again. I hope if you ever plan something in the future its a car you've always wanted to bring back and make it even better. Did i forget to mention the blue?! So nice brother. I'd turn gay for a date in that lmao.

I scared the living shit out of a Mitsubishi sales guy in that generation of Evo. I had a modified WRX and was torn between buying an STI or an Evo, I jumped the Evo over a railroad crossing and caught several feet of air. Pretty sure the salesman had to change his shorts after that test drive. Ended up going with the STI because I found its AWD system to be superior, however no denying the superior power potential of the 4G63…

I am a big fan of yours….but i am ALSO AN AUDI FANATIC …… Audis break because people abuse them and do not service them after the first visit to the dealer. I am on my 6th Audi, an SQ8, it has be the best one yet other than my B5 RS4 Avant in Germany, that one i would still have if it was possible to import back in the day. Its hard to best 500+ hp and Quattro drive 😁🤔😁
