Actually, Belgium is much more complicated than you might think. You went to Antwerp, which is located in Flanders. This means you don't speak French in Antwerp, but Flemish. If you go to Brussels, you should either speak Flemish or French. BUT most of the people in Brussels speak French. If you go to Wallonia you have to speak French. The part in Belgium where they speak German is located near Malmedy and Eupen (you were no where near that region).

26:22 Holly I am sure your trolling here. But for the record, you were in Antwerp which is in the northern part where we speak Dutch. In the south part (below Brussels) they speak French and in fact there is a small part at the border with Germany where they speak German. So we have 3 official languages

Holly, did you Angelo win the Marathon? When my father and I went to Antwerp, Belgium 11 years ago, the signs and the people did not speak French, but Flemish? When I tried speaking French to the people in Antwerp, they did not understand me and I ended up speaking English to them instead.
