Well done Holly that was a superb effort and most seasoned club runners would be delighted with that time. Big city marathons are really difficult because of the amount of runners which can disrupt your pace considerably.

Well done Holly, 4:05 is incredibly good for a first marathon. Humans are absolutely meant to run long distance! It’s totally natural and we are better at it than any other creatures. You’re on a slippery slope now with your Dad having done 5, you’ve got to beat him!

Congrats! Amazing for a first marathon - so close to the the 4 hours already!! Next, i really recommend reading 'born to run' and 'the science of running'. We ARE evolved to run (just not really on tarmac in a huge crowd of course!) But definitely check those out and i really look forward to seeing more running content from you, its why youtube recommended you to me and ive really gained motivation from seeing your training journey.
