Holly, all I can say is you’re such a boss! Running a half marathon all by yourself in a place that’s not your home and you’re handling it like nothing! I’m so proud and you’re so inspirational… would love to connect and be friends because you’re incredible 🥰😍✨

What a fantastic result! Congratulations! I’m 62 & really enjoy half marathons. Hoping to better 2hrs 17m at the Melbourne half marathon in October. Really enjoy your videos!

Virtually all proper coaches will recommend gels and nutrition during a half marathon. In fact taking a gel just before the start is now also recommended! If like yourself it takes almost 2hrs to do a half, then you’ll need energy during the race. Try it, you’ll prob find an improvement in your time.

Holly you would most probably benefit from having a consultation with someone about optimum fuelling strategy. It looks like you aren’t taking the right amount or best type of fuel for your runs and this could result in you hitting the wall in the actual marathon. Well done on the PB!

Well done! Looks beautiful, and such a great thing to do during a trip 🤗 You might want to get a tri belt to pin race numbers to, it lets you swap clothing layers without having to re-pin your number 👍🏻

have you gotten a ton of people complimenting your accent and whatnot? As an American, I feel like I'm constantly complimenting people with different accents because they're so beautiful and we rarely really hear them, especially as I live in PA lol

Congratulations on the run Holly, amazing achievement! However, please be careful when offering nutritional advice without any qualifications or [several years of] experience. Runners *should* be fuelling with 30-60g carbs/hour for half marathons and beyond - this is endorsed by all sports dieticians, coaches, experienced/elite athletes, and supported by empirical evidence. Women in particular need to focus on fuelling both before, during, and after runs. Perhaps you could do a video with a registered sports dietician on this (e.g. Renee McGregor) because underfuelling and RED-S is incredibly common in the running community

I didn't this as Holly offering advice or saying what others should do. It came across as her saying what works for her, especially as she mentioned that everyone is different 🙂
