Not only are the designs just kinda "ball of string", and "FUMIN' ball of string", they don't even get to pick. It's genetically hardwired whether it's chill or not, and you can't even tell until it's too late. Also dw about mugging off Silcoon. Back when Pokemon ran that popularity poll a while ago, Silcoon is one of just three mons that got 0 votes. So scientifically, it's NOBODY'S favorite.

Shieldon is my favorite fossil. I was only 9-10 and my first Pokémon game was Diamond. I got Shieldon and was like “oh my god they have a dog Pokémon named Sheldon” (I was a dumb kid back then lmaooo) but when I got a dog, I got to name him Sheldon. He sadly passed away the beginning of the year but shieldon will always be my favorite because of Sheldon ❤️

5:03 funnily enough this is kinda what the Galar fossils are based on, old archeologists would often mix up parts, like juvenile and adult parts or even completely different animals which the Galar fossils take inspiration from, so sometimes they would get dinosaurs having some… well let’s just say strange anatomy.

That makes sense though, cause as an Amaura, it hasnt evolved or "grown up" enough to learn any ice type moves. Both Tyrunt and Tyrantrum are rock / dragon so ice type moves are devastating to them. Taking out the only other large dinosaur Pokémon that knows how to kill you in one hit with an ice beam seems a smart move.

Omastar is my favorite. I’ve used him many times in gen 1 games. Blizzard sweeps lance in gen 1, even if omastar is under leveled and you can teach him rock slide, spike cannon, and hydro pump. I always loved omastar’s unique design. I love its eyes, its mouth, and spiky shell. I much prefer omastar to kabutops, especially since I think omastar looks cooler. I’ve used aerodactyl a few times. I like having a fast rock type but I don’t like using him in gen 1 because his move set was abysmal. I like that you can get an aerodactyl in gen 2 through trade, that levels up fast and can actually learn rock moves like ancientpower, unlike gen 1. I’ve used the trade aerodactyl in gen 2 multiple times. You can’t even teach it sky attack in gen 1, by far the best flying move in gen 1. I’ve used both cradily and armaldo different times in ORAS. I prefer cradily for the stab grass moves like mega drain while also having rock moves. Armaldo is mostly good if you have access to strong bug type moves. I prefer cradily to armaldo for the same reason I prefer omastar to kabutops. Given a choice between the powerful looking bug monsters with blades for arms, or the bizarre looking shellfish/terrifying gigantic sea plant, I always choose the weird looking sea monsters. Although I do love Armaldo’s design as much as cradily. It’s just that cradily can be more versatile in game. The sinnoh fossils on the other hand, I choose rampardos because he looks cool. Rampardos isn’t very useful but Bastiodon will faint from a fighting type just looking at it and it’s pretty slow. I used archeops on my last Pokémon black playthrough. I love archeops but it’s like a semi-weaker aerodactyl. It’s fast but it’s got a lot of weaknesses. I love archeops’ design for being a bird while also being a reptile. Next time I play gen 5 I’m sticking with carracosta because the only other good water type available is seismitoad. There are really good ground types in gen 5 like excadrill and krookodile, I regretted having one of those plus seismitoad on my team, as it limited my team’s type coverage and having a water type is important. The gen 6 fossils are among the best fossils. Tyrantrum and aurorus are some of the coolest fossil Pokémon out there. Tyrantrum is a cooler looking take on a t-Rex Pokémon than rampardos and it’s a good Pokémon. Although my choice is aurorus. It’s quite majestic looking for a fossil Pokémon and its typing kinda sucks but it can be useful ingame. Aurorus is a beautiful Pokémon. While I think the gen 8 fossil Pokémon look like abominations of god, dracovish is actually really strong. I get the point of the gen 8 fossils but I hate their designs. I appreciate the love that mr1upz showed in this video for omastar and cradily. They’re both such unique looking Pokémon and I think they’re underrated. I was pleasantly surprised that you chose cradily as your favorite. While I love cool looking Pokémon like tyrantrum or armaldo, I think weird looking Pokémon like omastar have a lot of charm.
