That Kieran segment had me rolling! Mans took realizing you had plot armor as a serious threat. Went back to monging out in the Blueberry dorm, reinventing himself as you do in college. Can't say I blame him. If Arceus blessed me with the eternal sideman stamp, I'd be miffed as well. I wouldn't dare to have any confidence in the same area code as a tween that has fate itself on speed dial. Kieran is unluckier than if Cybertron were to miss a sixth Will-o-Wisp.

Honorable mention to all the normal trainers in blueberry academy. Some of those demons were using stall strats, discharge/eartquake spam, psyspam etc. Easily the most difficult normal trainers in the series

Kieran’s team is an absolute menace. Not only is his team powerful but his pokemon team synergies really well together. A prankster grimmsnarl with a focus sash so you can’t stop it with your own priority moves so it’s guaranteed to get up at least one light screen or reflect unless you have a taunt prankster as well. His dragonite, porygone-Z and incineroar exist to kill your entire team. Polytoad is there so dragonite can one or two shot your whole team even faster. (Good luck one shotting that dragonite btw cause it has multiscale…) And finally he has hydrapple waiting in the back as his ace…To be honest he really should’ve saved dragonite for last though.

It was a pleasant surprise, they had competitive items and actual (although basic) strategies to throw me off. I had an experimental team I was trying out and we were actually having to use items like full restore and max revives. I would’ve lost against several and if it were Nuzlocke, that team easily wasn’t ready for them. I changed out a couple after figuring out where I struggled the most and managed to steamroll through after but THIS is the challenge we needed for the base game. Big props to GameFreak and crew for managing to make up over the lack of challenge. If you can go through the whole game only battling the scripted matches and big names in all three major storylines, you need more for it. Child me would’ve steamrolled the whole game with one team and little reason to worry (introduced via R/B)
