I adore the Quaquaval line, though I didn’t expect to because Quaxly is my least favorite starter by a lot. Skeledirge though…I can’t make myself like anything about it. Or more than one thing, because I like that it’s a quadruped, but that’s it. I’m glad so many people do love it but to me it just looks like a janky lego build and the colors couldn’t be balanced worse if they tried 😭 (Floragato is also cute but its evolution makes me so uncomfortable it’s nauseating :) *edit: I’m sorry but ‘its eyes are between two sticks’ being the thing that makes Wo-Chien okay is hilarious to me. I feel so similarly about skeledirge. I am usually a fire starter person and love fuecoco, so cute. I appreciate the inspirations for skeledirge in the design and think those are cool, but I do think the overall result is messy and too busy. I also cannot stand it’s loud roar and it was starting to piss me off by the end of the game lol.
