They did Beidou so dirty I'm actually mad about it. She's genuinely one of the coolest characters in the game, she's the Captain of the Crux, a badass who killed a sea monster and a character with an amazing design and grat personality. So much wasted potential! Even reusing her idle would've been better than whatever she got.

What i love about this is they're referencing the poses from the old Drip Marketing in the past. Back when they drip market a character, there's a 2 variation of the art. One you see in social medias, one is the Gacha Splash Arts. They stopped doing this since Eula's reveal (Hu Tao is the last one to get one) Xiao and Fischl's final pose is a direct reference of his Drip Market, and Zhongli is referencing his pose from 1.1's wallpaper. Ganyu is double, she started off with her Splash Art and then turns into her Drip Marketting pose

What’s weird to me is the inconsistency with characters that have summonable “spirits”. Fischl doesn’t get Oz, but Gorou gets his little dog. Beidou could have gotten her Ult spirit ring, but it’s just her turning around.

I know people said that Alhaitham's was very in-character and while I do agree, they could have at least spiced it up by adding effects related to his skills, etc. I think when it comes to characters like him or Xingqiu or Zhongli, they could have done more with their entrance and then their actions after can just stay as they are now. That would have at least been better imo.

Alhaithem D -> low B (fits his character with doing minimum) Xingqiu C -> high B/low A (perfect for him, very noble) Noelle C -> A (she's so polite she's the only one that actually greets us) Rosaria S -> low B at best (it's just so boring, she has so cool fighting style and her animation is just fliping a knife while she could have sth like Xiangling but with knife) Mika low B -> high B/low A (I love how he just reads and quickly swaps to crossbow like he just saw sth and is always on guard) also would move Yae and Zhongli to high S - Zhongli very fiting, very noble and stoic, and Yae for doing fox gesture with her hand

Alhaitham's fits hus character so so well. Like yeah its not exciting or flashy so i understand the low rank, but Hoyo didn't "do him dirty" at all imo - they made an animation to fit his personality. The likes of Kaeya and Traveller were "done dirty" because a flashier animation would have suited them. Traveller's should have included Paimon imo, for example.

as a xingqiu main i'm quite satisfied with his animation. the hand behind his back? the way he turns? the slow sureness of his movements? elegance. style. class. his and zhongli's are some of my favorites of the animations for that reason. (not the best, but high up there) they make alhaitham look underwhelming in comparison. simplicity is no bad thing but it feels incomplete. why does he just stand there?? he could've at the very least crossed his arms or something but he just goes 🧍‍♂️ when from the way he moved it looked like he'd do more than that. it's similar to mika's, except he doesn't have his equivalent of mika pulling out the crossbow. it stll fits his character but they could've done better for sure

I loved Bennett’s. Sure, he’s like a son to me, I love and accept him and his animations the way they are. But the main reason is the story behind the pose: The rock comes somewhere from our direction, as if we were the ones who threw it, and what my boy does is turn around and stand in a fight pose. Angry Bennett is something I didn’t know I needed to see. I know it’s probably not exactly as I described, but still, it looks like it, and that makes me happy)

I feel the similar thing for Mika and Chongyun, and Klee, it’s just that the bad luck attire makes me empathize with Benny more. ​@@prophetmuhammad3890​ sorry but that's not true. not even close. for most of my two years playing genshin benny was NOWHERE in my roster (i only started building him recently for my lyney) but i still loved him because he's an angel. the light of my life. the best person in teyvat. keeps getting done dirty but does he let that hold him back?? the awful luck and the unkindness from everyone around him for having that luck when he's just trying his best to live life and reach his dreams??? people shun him for bringing his misfortune wherever he goes but they don't bother to consider how HE HIMSELF has to deal with such unnecessary setbacks, whether there's others around him or he's all by himself. and yet he's still so kind even to the same people who hurt him, he still keeps a smile on his face no matter what. he's so good and the world doesnt deserve bennett genshin impact. truly an inspiration to us all. anyway. even if i don't use him very often i'm still happy he gets love from being meta. i'll always be proud of him for being one of the strongest supports in the game. but that's far from the reason i love him so much

i highly doubt it, but i hope they will update / improve the ones like Dehya in the future, i feel like they were going in the right direction with hers, just needed a bit more flair and energy. And although ones like Alhaitham"s and Xingqiu"s animations is in character, you can"t deny that there isn"t much going in their animation. like say for example, if Alhaitham"s animation was him seating down, a book in his hand, his other hand on his chin, as his eyes scans through a page, he notices he"s been chosen, stands up from his chair as he closes his book and strikes a casual pose. Now, whether or not you like my example is not important, my point is they could / could have done something like that and it still would have been in character for him, so i hope they come back to these animations one day.

I would’ve like to see shogun and yae be put in triple s. I liked how we saw Ei with her full chakra ring before calling down the lightning, and them having yae bring out one of her tails was nice since few of her animations show her tails plus it disappearing into Sakura petals was a nice touch

I agree with the ranking but at the end you bumped down Xiangling and Layla by adding chars to the front of S tier and i think they both deserve top S tier by just how on point and unique their animations are.

I love this new party selection screen! The fact that some 4* got better animations than some 5* xD Luckily all of my favourite characters: Nahida, Kokomi, Klee, Yoimiya, Ayaka, Kazuha all got very good animations! (Unlike your Diluc and Alhaitham lol)

They could have at least given Al-Haitham a little bit of a particle effect. Maybe a few chisel light shards hanging around him. We could even have those being the things holding Al-Haitham’s book up and closing it for him.
