Avenged came out of the SoCal hardcore scene (try out Second Heartbeat for their take on that. Fucking brilliant). City of evil is what happens when a band with big ideas & too much Mr Bungle, Primus & Metallica finally get the budget to make the album they want 😂

I love a7x, my favorite growing up. But when you say you think a metal voice is grungy, that's crazy to me. Its awesome to see the times change! Metal in its origins, to me, is like Dio or Iron Maidan. and I was born in 91. Sabbath too.
