X forward time Y lake map B equipment menu A select RT/LT toggle RB/LB toggle Dpad Up/Down toggle up or down FROM A BOAT A grab or replace rod B aim cast LT raise and lower anchor RT start engine ALWAYS CONTROLS RB+LB clip line RB +LEFT JOYSTICK camera zoom Hopefully this helps someone... Now if you can tell me what can be done about the bite rates being nerfed I'd be greatful. Christ the trustsy ole Golem lure isn't even working at St Croix. I'm thinking it's name was a fore thought from the devs... Go is either go or gone...and lem is lemon That's exactly what it's done gone lemon lol

Hey Bo, really entertaining, so reminds me of early FP! Hope I wasn't as angry, but probably was, until I got my head in the game. The tortoise and the hare... I got into your channel about year and a half ago, your first tutorials on FP, and then learnt that it was a free download to play; thank you. I loved KG's videos on Fishing Planet cause I felt the same way when I started this game! I actually just sent two of my buddies his videos cause they are just starting Fishing Planet and they are kinda having the same reactions. I actually had one of my buddies start a stream so I could watch his screen to walk him through getting his poles back (they ended up in his home inventory not in his backpack) then I helped him with a few other things but every time I watch KG's videos I remember that rage I had for this game starting out! I didn't rage quite that bad but I get it though! That's when I found my zen by watching KZbin videos about Fishing Planet on how to play the game lol now I watch FP KZbin videos while playing FP a lot of times that trigger bites lol but I mainly just listen to music

I played fishing planet back in the day when it first came out. Then I didn't play for a couple years. When I came back I was level 25. I have no clue how I progressed that far. I don't remember playing long enough to do that. Anyhow I'm level 39 now. I came back to the game a couple weeks ago and I'm enjoying it a lot thanks to your videos. I didn't care for using mouse and keyboard so I started using an xbox elite 2 controller. It seems more like using a reel to me lol.

Would have to agree, there are so many videos out there that he could have watched. However in and of it's self...that can be a pitfall to.... I remember going to white moose and destroying my gear, after watching a video on how much could be made there. But yeah help himself he does not at all.

@@grantfuller5011 yeah know the feeling.. I made some mistakes Like buying something and not equipping, having to pay double travel cost... Or buying the bass boat with no trolling motor, so in a grind myself for some cash LoL. I hear a lot of people say st Croix or other lakes... But I tell ya Falcon lake and the trout there is good money. Yes they are small but the action is fast. Take 3 or 4 float rods , get about 300 mayflies, 300 crickets, 300 small minnows and a size 2 hook with 80in or 203 cm and you can stay there for quite a while filling your net. Check out my vid on my channel for falcon lake, Little tip, try to stick to the crickets and mayflies, it isolated the trout and keeps the rock bass off your line.

I play on console. If I ever have a game where I'm like wth are the controls? I just skipped the tutorial...😂 99% of games nowadays have a controller layout with the corresponding buttons in the settings menu.

I found this game 2 days ago and as someone who knows NOTHING about fishing the tutorial is completely worthless. If I was somebody who has ever fished in real life maybe the tutorial would be enough but to an absolute noob none of the measurements and stuff make sense lol. Fun game though I'm excited to keep learning

Best Tip for fishing planet is to delete it and install Russian Fishing 4.

This game really isn't that hard to figure out. Maybe 30 mins at most to figure out the controls, the rest is self explanatory to be honest.
