Curly hair is usually less likely to get lice because of deposits of conditioner and product in the hair. The same stuff we use to keep the hair moisturized also serves to deprive possible bugs of oxygen, super handy! My whole family had a lice outbreak and despite sleeping in the same rooms (Beds before we found out about the lice.) as them I was unscathed.

I could towel dry my hair when I got out of the shower and let it "air dry" on the way to work. Slap a few barrettes in it or pull it back in a pony tail and I was good to go. When I started paying attention to some of my Afr. Amer. friends and their hair care, I was like OMG! I am still fascinated with all of the work you all have to put into making your hair look pretty while keeping it healthy. I am too lazy for all of that work. I don't know how you all do it. He's probably over washing. Straight hair gets oily faster, but even then most cosmologists reccomend that straight had should be washed everyone other day. Of it gets that oily everyday then it means his scalp is dry af and is overproducing it to compensate.
