Throughly enjoyed your reaction to another Queen masterpiece, and one of my favorites. May I suggest pulling up this song with the lyrics because once this one gets in your head, you might be singing it for weeks. 👑🫶

That's because it's okay with Brian and Roger. Queens entire catalogue was bought recently by Sony (I think it was) for 1.2 Billion. Give them a few years and they'll be greedily mismanaging everything, uncluding Queens reputation, by reducing other peoples KZbin videos.

Looking forward to your next one. This one was an queen's second album. I have heard that one side ... the 'Black' side was written by Freddie and the other side 'White' side was written by Brian May (the guitarist) It was released in 1974. A song from the White side is White Queen (As it Began). The best video and version of this is LIve from Hammersmith Odeon 1974.It has some really good guitar from Brian and also piano from Freddie. Brian is still going and playing as is the drummer Roger Taylor. John Deacon the bass guitar gave up when Freddie died. (Rest in Peace.) They have all written number one hits and have all been inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
@RobTalksMess-i6uАй бұрын
I'm curious, were they inducted as a group or individually? or both?
@JennyColwell-tb6cmАй бұрын
@@RobTalksMess-i6u . "They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, and with each member having composed hit singles, all four were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003." Freddie tragically died of AIDS in 1991, but he left quite a lot of material for the others to finish off and release. He reportedly said to Brian just before his death " do what you like with it but never make me boring" There is supposed to be a catalogue of 300 songs, so plenty to choose from. I think the official Queen Channel is the best resource and I often see people say that it is seldom blocked.

This song is way too layered to be done live. There is a tiny snippet of it in a medley but this is ont best listened to from the studio recording.. I really love this song, it is chaotic and intricately composed. Thank you. This song is definitely multi-tracked but Roger and Brian are multitracked as well as Freddie that is how they get that full choir sound to their harmonies. I think that this song is based on a book or a painting that Freddie liked. This song is a roller coaster to be sure. Next you need to do Queen: White Queen live at Odeon, Hammersmith 1975. And to finish up the songs with queen in the title, you should do Killer Queen, an early song from the band performing on Top Of The Pops. All three are different but all are great songs.

In the long falsetto part after the music cuts suddenly, its all Freddy harmonising with himself. In the other parts of the song its mainly mixed voices with Rodger hitting the really high falsettos

Not quite right, Bo-rhap's opening acapella section was Fred Multi tracked. The operatic section was Fred, Brian, & Roger. Multi tracked. With Roger hitting those very high notes.

You are a very brave man!!! 😳Couldn’t believe you were doing MOTBQ only second reaction. I listened to one and a half albums before being ready. Not so much a song as an assault on the ears. 🫨This is early Queen and is progressive rock. “Through composed”. Very baroque. Queen had many styles over the years. Later they hid complexity in seemingly simple songs. At this stage it is all on display. Queen were a great studio band and a phenomenal live band. Live they don’t repeat studio or previous performances. So each performance will be new. Watch Montreal 81 or Wembley 86 Another One Bites The Dust - different beasts.

The greatest hits version has different ending because album version is cut to flow with the other songs on the black side(Queen II) i think Funny how love is it on the album after this

Very nice reaction! I think this might be a bit of a confusing song for someone who is not used to this style of music. This is progressive rock, it is like the more difficult version of Bohemian Rhapsody. It is very complex, it is not the type of song that you will get on your first listen. The song is about a pirate Queen, it starts with a battle on the sea, the protagonist is captured by the Black Queen, she seduces him after some torture and he switches sides. If you have only just started with rock, I would suggest something easier and more catchy like Save Me - Queen live at Montreal 1981. The March Of The Black Queen is a masterstroke of genius composition and studio production, but you might not get that on the first listen.

Dude, SO SORRY! You missed one VERY IMPORTANT thing about Queen (and many other bands)!!! The stereo tricks are off the chain CRAZY! Your stereo is NOT STEREO, at least you’re not broadcasting it in stereo. I’m going to subscribe but you’ve got to fix this! You’re robbing yourself SO MUCH of the guitars, drums, vocals, harmonies aren’t doing a dance all over the inside of your head!!!!

No, Kent's right: something's getting lost in the mix somewhere. It sounds "flat". Does the song on this video sound like it did when you recorded it?
