Four superb musicians all at the top of their game, individually and collectively. What a tight band they were. I love this live version which is arranged so differently to the studio version because the complex harmonies couldn't be done live. They are both great. John's base keeping it all going, Roger's voice and drums giving a great counterpoint to Freddie, Brian May's guitar solos are always exactly right for every song. And of course, Freddie's piano playing, singing and showmanship. What more could you ask for?

Once you 'Get' Queen...They become part of your soul and mental wallpaper. Although now in this 21st century there is so much mystique surrounding Queen, and particularly Freddie's legendary status...We who were privileged to see Queen perform live, knew instinctively that we were witnessing inimitable greatness. I was so very fortunate to attend several of their concerts in different parts of the world in the mid 80's...This band were the perfect storm, and Freddie was the God with pockets full of fairy dust, who ensured each and every ticket holder experienced the absolute time of their lives. Dear Freddie showed us inside his heart...and we will love him forever for it.❤

Thanks, Alaine.. everything you say.. I was privileged to see them three times... from 1978-1980... a teenager the first time.. and got to meet the band briefly- got their autographs.. every one was funny and super-kind to a couple of awkward teen-aged girls.. one of my favorite memories.. lol

I throughly enjoyed your reaction to my favorite band and frontman Freddie Mercury. Have you ever heard "White Queen " A Night at the Odeon, Hammersmith Live 1975? It's hauntingly beautiful and insanely unique, I promise you will absolutely love it. 🫶💙🌈👑

When Freddy at a certain point kept the public entertaint with the drums and base it was because Bryan had a string broken of his guitar and needed to change it. In the video you can see him return from back stage. Such a tight band, professional. Ik you don’t know it, you do not notice it. Thx for your reaction. Gr from Belgium

They are filling are a’s now with Adam Lambert as frontman. Different but great. Thx to Adam and the energy with. Bryan and Roger the music reaches new generations. They do not pretend to have a new Freddy, they just enjoy the music and revived energy

I really liked how much you appreciate the whole band …..and of course how great Freddie is… I totally agree with you. I personally love it all and I never get tired of hearing any of it …… You seem to be familiar with their music….so I’m not quite sure what to request….. most anything from their live performances in Montreal 1981, Milton Keynes 1982 or Wembley 1986 are all great. “Who Wants to Live Forever” live in Budapest in another one. Have you ever heard Freddie sing opera live in Barcelona with opera singer Monserrat Caballe’ in 1988….. it’s fantastic. So much to choose from …..they have almost 300 recorded songs including solo albums. Thank you for your reaction to this iconic performance…..I just subscribed and am waiting for your next Queen reaction. Thank you.

I think a lot of ppl exploit Freddie. Example - a certain biopic full of lies. I like the Milton Keynes version of STL. Freddie changes up a lot with each performance. My favourite are early Queen. White Queen @ Hammersmith Odeon 1975; Liar @ Rainbow 74, In The Lap Of The Gods @ Rainbow 74; Ogre Battle @Rainbow 1974; You Take My Breath Away @Hyde Park 1976. BTW you don’t need to blur the video. 😀 Enjoyed yr thoughts very much.

The movie was about 10 years in the making and Brian and Roger were not sure of it - but realized "it we don't do it, somebody else will". I believe that it brought a whole new generation to the concerts - to know Queen. Good music will always live - Beethoven, Mozart, Bernstein - - why not Queen? No-one claims to be Freddie. I am 73 and live in Denmark where Queen seldom played- and I never attended a concert because of epilepsy- I - and others - would convulse because of the flashing lights. I enjoy what I can find here on YT - and my CD´s of cause. - and the movie too btw.

@ I think you’re right: Brian & Roger did the best job they could. The movie definitely served its purpose of bringing Freddie and Queen’s music to a whole new audience. I just think it’s really important for Queen fans who are aware of the movie’s factual inaccuracies, to educate these new audiences to the fact that there are also several really GOOD documentaries about Freddie and Queen available to watch for FREE on KZbin. They’re VERY well-done… entertaining as well as accurate!🫶

I love that you appreciate that... look forward to more reactions from you... (ps all four of them are in the "Rock & Roll Hall of Fame" - not just as Queen.. but each of them wrote a #1 hit.. the only band to date to have done that... )

Hi I really enjoyed your reaction. You gave a good idea of what you like about the music, didn't keep taking a swig of water etc. Maybe a reaction to White Queen (as it Began) live at Hammersmith Odeon in about 1974 or 5 I think. However, is it necessary to blur the video? I have heard several people say that the official Queen Channel do not block videos, especially if you interrupt to make comments. I did notice there were no interruptions from adverts though. I know it's frivolous of me, but I love to see Freddie (and the others) in all their glory and charisma, clearly as is the case with all those Montreal videos, which are in HD I think. Congrats, I have subscribed and liked 🙂

Have you heard of Ren or The Big Push? Hi Ren by Ren is a masterpiece (some strong language) He appreciates reactors. He is independent and got a number 1 song in the UK last year. His band did a lot of busking in the UK for several years. He has a very large following that loves to watch reactors. Best wishes ❤

Queen are still going with Adam Lambert. Ive been a fan for fifty one years and no one can out sing freddie except Adam. He doesnt try to e Fred but is brilliant in his own right.
