I read 'if we were villains' a few years ago and it didn't became a new favourite, but I agree with your observations! One of my problems was that I hadn't read that many Shakespeare works so it felt like I missed some things. Cursed bread sounds interesting! 🍞💀 Ohhh, I remember hearing about the queue a few years ago by a different booktuber. Glad you enjoyed it, maybe I can pick it up one day.

So glad you enjoyed If We Were Villains, that's one of my favourites and helped me get back into reading after a long break. I definitely need to try The Truth According to Ember and you've made me interested in Cursed Bread too.

i read When The World Tips Over for work and was really surprised at how much i loved it! i never read Jandy Nelson's previous work, and considering they were published 10 years ago, i don't know if they still hold up. but her writing is so whimsical, it landed really well for me!! but i completely understand your pov -- specially considering that one main character that's not even in the story!!
