In order of Phoenix, Harry didn’t know about the mirror until was too late. He was convinced it could lead to Sirius getting hurt. When he tries to communicate with him he doesn’t even think about it because he did not know what was in it. It was later that he saw it and remembered it.

Really enjoyed your reviews! I was 30 when the first book was published, I had small children at the time who weren’t old enough yet to follow the story but it was SO wonderful sharing it with them when they were a few years older. I read them in real time as an adult and I adored them! JK’s writing is so funny and the thing I really loved was that this was truly one big saga told in 7 parts. It wasn’t that she wrote book 1 and then made sequels to cash in on the popularity, it was a very clever saga with lots of easter eggs and clues that felt so satisfying as the mysteries were revealed. I can’t explain the phenomenon it was over the 10 year period as the fan based followed the story, the midnight book releases, the fan theories that were hotly debated, it was such marvelous fun! So happy to have you in the fandom 🪄✨🤘

Reading in bed is literally the best way to read. i dont get to do that a lot atm i have a 7 - and 4 year old boys, and i am exhausted most of the time (i listen to audiobooks in work which is in an office and we are allowed to listen to what ee eant ad long as we get our work done) but seeing you reading in bed really reminded me (and gave me flashbacks) of when i read them for the first time starting at 9 years old til i was 16 ❤

When I read the entire series of Harry Potter books after watching the movies more than a thousand times it was the best feeling. It was like being that little girl with dreams and illusions again. I am so happy that you enjoyed this series books, because it is as magical as a hug to the heart, or as we Latinos say an "apapacho" is like a "hug to the soul". Fellow Ravenclaw here. I love this series so much. I didn't get into Harry Potter until 2005 when I was in my 40's. My then 5 year old niece begged me to watch the first movie with her on satellite and I loved it. As an avid reader, when I found out it was based on a book series I immediately wanted to read it. My niece had the first 2 books so I borrowed them. I went to the library the next day and checked out the rest that were available at the time. Once I was finished and had to wait for the next book to be published I watched the other 2 movies that were out at the time. As soon as Goblet of Fire came out on dvd I rented it since I couldn't get anyone to go see it in the theater with me. About this time a longtime friend (ex-sister-in-law) moved in with me and I got her hpoked on HP as well. It helped that her daughter was also a Potterhead so she'd seen the first couple of movies with her daughter. All it took to turn her into a Potterhead too was reading the books. When Deathly Hallows was finally published I couldn't wait to read it but they only had the more expensive hardback copy at my local store. I was shopping with my mom and she asked me why I wasn't buying it and I told her I couldn't afford the $20 or $25 it cost at the time. My mom bought it for me on the condition that she got to read it next. Lol. By then I'd gotten her hooked on Harry Potter too. I still have that book and the pages are still tear stained in places.

I’m also a Ravenclaw! I read these for the first time last year and I was obsessed. All 5 stars for me, I think my least favorite was also the chamber of secrets and my fav was either the sorcerer’s stone just cuz of how cozy and magical it is getting into the world or the order of the Phoenix! So much of that book isn’t in the movie (prob since the book is a brick) that just left me so shook. I’ve literally been checking YT everyday to see if you had uploaded this yet, I was so excited to watch it and I’m so glad you loved them!

I am also a Potterhead. And, you’re right. Sirius Black did not have to die. There are so many needless deaths in Harry Potter. Cedric Diggory, Sirius Black, Albus Dumbledore, Remus Lupin and his Wife, Tonks. And so many other good Witches and Wizards. But, the saddest Death for me, personally, was Sirius Black at The Battle of The Department of Mysteries. Darn Bellatrix Lestrange! Darn her! Who’s your favorite Character in Harry Potter. Whose death was the saddest for you? Before you ask, Sirius Black is my favorite Character. That’s why his death is the saddest death of all. He did not deserve that. He deserved to live a very long Wizarding life as a free man. It’s just so sad that he didn’t fully get the opportunity to live as a truly free man. And, furthermore, Sirius deserved the right to raise Harry right after his Parents were murdered. But, even that was denied to him. What do you think J.K. Rowling was implying when she wrote Sirius‘s Character? Sirius is the most tragic Character in Harry Potter in my opinion.

Watching this video brings back so much memories. And I suddenly felt so old, haha. I grew up reading HP and it was during the time when we had to wait a year to read the next book. Imagine a year long anticipation!! At one point, I read book 7 in one seating even though I should be studying for a major school exam the next day. So it kinda feel weird to realize that everyone can read the series now at their heart's desire. Anyways, it's great to see how you enjoyed reading the series! *^^* You should have tried the MinaLima versions of the books. It'll be so magical reading those versions.

Your excitement is so contagious! It really made me reminiscent! My mum read the first couple of books to me as a kid until I was old enough to continue reading the series by myself. I have such warm and fuzzy memories of that time. I had Harry Potter themed birthday parties and would stay up late to go to the midnight book release parties at my local book store. Rowling created such an amazing magical world and I absolutely loved the Potter Heads community that formed around it. It felt so accepting and was the world I escaped to the most as a pre-teen and teen. Luna was my favourite btw! :) The HP books were also the reason I got into creative writing. I miss how pure my love and excitement was back then. Harry Potter was also the first time I truly experienced the quandary of: Is it possible to separate art from the artist? I think deep down I arrogantly believed that none of MY heroes would become one of the 'problematic' ones. I was young and naive. While I still love Harry Potter and I'm sure a part of me always will, that love feels tainted now and I can't help but feel a little sad and bitter when I think of Harry Potter. I wonder if anyone else here feels similarly. I almost feel angry at Rowling for taking that naive purity away from me and feel like I have to grieve the loss. I know it's not rational... It just feels heartbreaking when the person who created something you love so much ends up causing so much harm to people you love. Can one thing make up for the other? In a way it's almost impressive the way Rowling managed to make transphobia go mainstream (especially here in the UK). I don't think I can ever forgive her for using her reach and power to cause so much harm. She's become her own worst nightmare and doesn't even seem to realise it: picking on one of the most vulnerable, oppressed and disenfranchised groups in our society. It still baffles me how the same person who created a world that made so many of us feel free and accepted, ended up spending all of her time fighting against the right for people to be who they are and to express themselves freely. Also, I love Daniel Radcliffe for using his HP fame to speak out against transphobia and for trans rights. He's great and totally in the spirit of Harry Potter! :)
