I recently saw a reel of a girl saying her and her friend check in on each other and ask how the other 'saved the day'. The concept was that, after a hard days work, where everything seems monotonous and you feel overwhelmed by your obligations, 'saving the day' means doing something to reclaim the day as yours. Anyway, today, watching this vlog was my version of saving my day 💗

First want to say, Olivia your vlogs are the best!! Now, Former barista here, yes beans go bad! Here’s a reference: Unopened bag of whole beans: good until expiration on bag Opened bag of whole beans: good for 7 days Ground coffee: good for 24 hours This is super strict! I would double it for personal use this is just food standard for coffee places. I keep my grounds for ages but yes it does affect flavor. Exposure to light, moisture, etc degrades beans quickly. I went my entire 20s never wearing shorts in public. I wear them now and OH MY GOSH it’s worth not caring because it’s so nice to not sweat. Not cover up. Blind the haters with my transparent skin. Editing to add: biker shorts always fit great! Wear a longish shirt to semi cover the bum. They’re definitely what helped me and even still, finding shorts to fit my narrow hips but big belly, so hard it’s frustrating.

I'm 26 and I still don't wear shorts in public after being very extremely insulted years ago by an older family member for wearing shorts in the house. She almost kicked me out of her house, so I'm no longer comfortable wearing shorts. But I am glad you were able to find the confidence to wear them again! I'm working on not caring what other people think and I have come far but it's a process. Starting that journey was the best thing I could have done for myself and I cringe now thinking about how I used to care so much about what others thought.

I was not a fan of Grave Reservations either. An author who writes good cozyish psychic mysteries is Victoria Laurie. She’s also a psychic in real life and I think it helps make the stories feel authentic. Just my opinion though. Kindles compared to maxi pads had me cracking up 😂. I really wanted to love A Tempest of Tea, but I didn’t for the critique you mentioned. The world and characters weren’t developed enough, so everything fell flat. I didn’t know the stakes or why I should care about any of it. My most disappointing read of the year so far! Oh how I wish my mind could fill in the details!

SPOILERS FOR SHES NOT SORRY the twist with the attacker, I knew right when he was introduced that it was him. But then in the end I felt like that whole side plot was extremely pointless to the book. But also without that, where’s the thrill? Lol But also, the ending… a little much lol I feel like the bad woman was definitely in the wrong, however did we really have to kill her off? lol wild ride. It was a three star for me, a solid thriller, definitely would be a good one for pretty new thriller readers.
