So true, I couldnt agree more! Back in 2007 the ex father in law traded his E39 M5 for one of this era RS6. Funnily the M5 vanos failed on track at Donington and a year later the gearbox on the Audi gave up at Oulton Park.

For years as a car guy I watched Hoovie, Tavarish, & a lot of other car channels doing up their impossibly expensive foreign cars, but seeing you doing down to earth, cheap & cheerful cars like this Audi, beats any Lambo resto I have seen, you are hillarious, your Sister is delightful...( Is she married? 🤣) your beginnings were a real Rags to middle class story, loved the Range Rover resto, & all the others, wish you all the best, I'm sharing your channel with all the mates.

Hello, I'm from Germany, my father was a driving instructor and bought an Audi V8 4.2 in 1994. For inspection you had to take the car to the Audi dealer, who then brought the car to Osnabrück because normal workshops were forbidden to work on the engine of the car. Just by the way, the inspection cost just under 2000 DM back then

I had a C5 RS6 Avant for years and loved it. It's not uncommon for people buying these cars to think they got an RS6, in your case, for £5k. What you have actually bought is a £60k supercar and responsibility for its associated maintenance costs for £5k. Mine had two owners before me and all of us kept an immaculate service history, very low milage and mint. It was 15 years old when I sold it on and the Service History total was in excess of £40k in 2018. I'm still in touch with the current owner who has spent well into 5 figures on maintenance costs to date, so it must be nearing the point where maintenance costs will match, even exceed, the original purchase price. Think about it, it's not that far from an A6 Avant bodied R8. It could outrun a 911 Turbo of the same year.

You would have been better off buying the 911 turbo on hire purchase and having nothing to fix :)

Lithuania might be most filled country with BMW models. 7 of 10 cars you see is BMW here.
@GERntleMANАй бұрын
@@HitPoint19Not dumped, soon as you offer your car on our local platforms, Lithuanians call you in the tens with offerings without viewing the car. They send large lorries carrying 10 cars to pick up yours. They take our stuff, we don't dump it there. That's also the reason why you don't see these cars in Germany anymore. Even if you want to, you hardly find them. And owning plenty old German cars like a V10 Touareg and a C5 RS6 amongst them, you will be hard pressed to find cars for sale in the condition mine are in. Mostly people without the means to service a high performance luxury car bought these cheap and made them worse. That's why we end up with shit cars although if you ask owners owning these cars for 10 to 15 years from basically new, they are not really troublesome at all. The difference is, even a well maintained Range Rover is shit quality. A well maintained RS6 or V10 Touareg is bliss

If you've ever owned a car that went from problem to problem, you do lose faith in it and get disheartened. It's just a weight round your neck and a relief to get rid. Like Nino, you hope the next owner will have better luck but, either way, it's not your problem any more. As for showcasing your business, they say "You can't polish a turd but you can sprinkle glitter on it". Certainly true with this Audi. Any 20 year old high performance vehicle with a lack of parts supply from the manufacturer is only going to cause further heartache, eventually...

And I feel your pain, I used to have a b7, the best car I owned, but she was an absolute trailer queen. 100k on the dash and the dpf gave out, the turbo had to be cleaned, the oil pump chain broke, the flywheel had to be replaced, the brakes, the gearbox oil , and the list just goes on for days. I felt the same relief the day I sold it for peanuts money. I loved her to bits, but she was the bain of my lifer for the better part of 2 years. GOOD RIDDANCE AND GREAT JOB MATE!😅

My girlfriend owns a B7 RS4 and I can confirm these RS Audis are just an absolute pig to work on. For example I needed to change the front foglight bulbs in it a few weeks ago, a nice quick job to do on a Saturday afternoon I thought...until I had to jack up the car, remove the front wheels and remove the front bumper. A job made even more stressful by the fact this is my girlfriends pride and joy, she loves this car more than me. The paintwork on it is immaculate and the front bumper was actually replaced a couple of years ago, so if I left any marks or scratches on it I'd be a dead man. So yeah, it is not an enjoyable car to work on, but lord does it make a cracking noise when you let the V8 sing round to 8000rpm! Anyway, Nino, love the channel, been watching you since the Mini R53 days (I have a few of them myself) and it has been great to see the channel grow like it has.
