Ajaxs philosophy wasnt inspired by Cruyff, but by Rinus Michel- who won them their first champions league and the euro 1988 for Netherlands,and created total football, which he also brought to Barcelona, not Cruyff. Cruyff later adapted it to the 80s and 90s in ajax and Barcelona ,respectively

Fifa usually schedules a league game 2 days before champions league knockout games. So, what i usually do is stop simulating before that league game, rotate my squad heavily and sim that game myself to be sure that this game is simulated using the rotated squad. This way I keep my squad fresh for the UCL game ahead.
