Just bought my own TT from the auction house last week. Hopefully I don't have to go to the lengths you have had to go through to get yours back on the road! Brilliant rebuild though, super enjoyed binge watching it tonight. As a side note, you mentioned a more detailed engine build on a Golf/S3?

nice one Dean....you adding a little "How to" section is brilliant.. (explaining PCV)....if you had a little section where you briefly explain a part, that would be epic.."this week guys a two minute overview of intercoolers"...sort of thing..

The PCV system in those 2.0T engines is a right pain. If it wasn't for flipping i'd get a PCV delete kit and catch can.

Hi Dean. Good job getting that Engine back in. I bet you will be glad when its finished and gone lol. Wow it sounds brilliant. A new PCV valve and your off. No leaks or nothing. The Camera darkness is fine Dean. This will be a Great car for someone especially when it gets a few coats of Polish and a good Valet. I think £2000 was not too bad to get it all Finished. Engine. Wheels. Parts. Tyres. And the £8000 for the Car. That's not too bad Dean. Someone will get a cracking car. Hopefully it will be me. Lol. Anyway your a Bloody Legend Pal and another Great car hits the road again. Respect. I think if you had not rescued this Car then it would have been Scrapped and parted out. Nicely done. I like the interior colour. My brother has a mk2 TTs with the usual alarm siren packing up and typically the bolt it is held on with just spins. Solution? Bloody wing has to come off. What is it with Audi engineers. Bose amp is in the boot in an area that gets lots of condensation so eventually packs up due to corrosion. Rear lights have an earth problem where a new thicker earth has to be installed to bypass the piss poor Audi attempt. So many little design flaws.

I'm not sure I want to know the answer to this but at 6:50 are you using an impact driver to tighten the spark plugs? I've always done them manually with a torque wrench, is it safe to use the driver instead?

Would you not run it in with running in oil for a few hundred miles?

No, engines are quite resilient these days. Most brand new cars with fully new engines don’t have a first service until 18/20k miles

If you have an older car beware of buying Carly. After being told by Carly that my 2005 S2000 would be able to be read by the Carly, guess what. it didn't. The way they sell it means that you don't buy the reader, that's free. You are buying software/subscription. Guess again, what happens when the reader doesn't pick up the ECU, you contact their support to be told "not sure when we'll get to your ecu, could be a week, could be years" Oh and you can't get a refund because you have only bought a software subscription. What an absolute con!
