Always check the simple things first before assuming the worst. I have numerous times forgotten to turn the petcock to reserve instead of “on” when working on my bike (and it just had a small amount of gas in the tank) and I was wondering why it wasn’t starting.

Love seeing the 200 getting some love! I have had a 2013 200exc since brand new. They have more torque than you think. I never use first gear even in the tough stuff. Also my 200 was the first year with factory electric start. The engine looks very similar to your bike. Maybe you could retrofit electic start?

I have a 2013 ktm 200, even though it has the stock keihin carb it starts first kick and runs super crisp. I wonder if they changed the engine from 06 to 13 because you seemed to be having to rev it heaps to get power out of it whereas my bike has heaps of low end grunt like a 250/300. It doesn't like to rev heaps like a 125 though as the engine vibrates due to the piston being very heavy.

The air forks are nice in Rocky sections, until hour 2 of the hard ride, because the oil in the air forks heats up very quickly and they begin to lose performance. That being said, they still perform alright, but the small bump sensitivity is drastically reduced. At least in my experience

Brother when it comes to small bore two strokes in the enduro you gotta learn how to hit everything with all the momentum and keep it! I bought a 23 ktm 125 to go with my 300 and ride it in the sawtooth mountains. You will be amazed after a bunch of rides on a small bore in the steep and nasty then jump back on a big bore and you will be leagues ahead of where you were…… they are great trainers….. and nothing is more satisfying then cleaning the steep and ugly on a 125 while all your buddies struggle on their 250/300s 🤣🤣😂
