Dude, that trail was gnarly. I'm super glad the pipe was working good (it sounded good). No hard feeling what so ever, hope you can get it back into shape. FYI, I received the t-shirt and sweat shirt huge!! Thanks!!! They are totally kick ass. Can't wait to see how you do on silver kings. Keep honing those skills, you will do awesome. Thanks a again Rich.

Thanks Rich! For now, the FMF Gnarly is back on it but I plan to repair the OEM pipe as soon as I have the time. Still super grateful to you, and bummed I crushed it. Glad you like the hoodie and t-shirt!

Just a thought on the fan, it might not be a horrible idea to hook up a bar switch to power up the fan, just in case the temp sensor fails at silver kings, and gives you some peace of mind knowing theres redundancy in the cooling system. Just in case that charging system doesnt work, double check the grounds, make sure where the grounds go to the frame, its bare metal. Charging systems can be a pain if the grounds arent up to spec. 200 seems to be taking a beating and loving it!

Hey KP! 👋🏼, check the voltage is coming up,to the regulator / rectifier , there should be voltage coming back up to the battery cables , to the battery ….not sure if you’ve got a 12v battery or not? Also check ground cables are thick enough and are actually a good ground point. Wires have to carry current and if the wires are too small , they won’t do the job effectively. Good luck mate! 🏁🏁🏁

Wire in a manual switch for the fan, if you know its going to be a tough climb flip the fan on and once you are done switch it off so the fan does not run when moving air can cool the bike. have run fan setups in this way on our bikes for ages and have never killed a battery on a ride, it also gives you the opportunity to kill the fan if you notice the battery is running low.

Looks like an epic place to ride. Also very good skill on the bike the only thing i noticed is you could use your feet more on the pegs and suspension to get more grip.

What colour power valve spring are you using? I had the red one I'm my 2010 300xc for the longest time just because it was wild! But then I put the green one in and it made all the power much more usable as the traction didn't brake loose so easily in the technical stuff. Might be worth a look?

The 200's have an adjuster on the side of the engine, you don't change the spring.

I run 14T front and 48T rear sprockets on my 200 and it still seems to be geared a little low, The type of riding I do is more XC than hard enduro though

I was thinking early in the video that you were geared wayyy too short when you were in 4th gear riding 20 mph wrapped out 😅. Looking forward to heading to SK!

13/52 or 51 will be your best bet for gearing on that bike, as far as the pipe goes get a good pressure repair kit, as long as the head flange seal area isn't distorted the pipe should be repairable, I've fixed some pretty smashed up pipes, you can use cutting compound and a buffer to polish out the heat marks, just be careful how much pressure you use when heating around the seams because the pressure will build from the heat and exhaust residue in the pipe.

why did you choose 200 with a carburetor and not, for example, 150 or 250 with injection?
@Regan_Tatham
@Regan_Tatham 4 ай бұрын
I own a 200 and before buying it I test rode a 150 and the 200 has way more bottom-mid power, I'd assume he took it over a 250/300 because it's lighter

Personal challenge, see if I can take an old bike and make it and my skills capable of racing a hard enduro. If I wanted the best bike for hard enduro, it'd be a KTM 300 hands down.

Why not stock 14/48 if you don't mind me asking?
@KincadePavich
@KincadePavich 3 ай бұрын
Too high for hard enduro. Nasty nasty slow stuff the bike would be lacking torque and would require a ton of clutch work.
@xxshiftlockxx
@xxshiftlockxx 3 ай бұрын
@@KincadePavich Thanks for the clarification. I ask cause my 2012's stock gearing is 14/48. Correct me if I'm wrong, to give more bottom end and less top end you'd increase the size of the rear sprocket and decrease the size of the front? You're doing that to both to get as much bottom end out of it as possible?
@KincadePavich
@KincadePavich 3 ай бұрын
@@xxshiftlockxx yes, that is correct. But I think the 12T front was too low and sacrificed too much top end and made each gear very short, so I’m going back to 13/50.

Dropping to B class for silver kings is probably smart for your first ever hard enduro, i did grinding stone and moab this year which were my first hard enduro races and C class was hard enough just to finish! The Pro/A splits at silver kings are probably ridiculous 😅
