Thank you for this video. I work on IBM Wheelwriters. Recently had a customer who has a Brother Typewriter and the paper bail spring came lose (most likely because of a paper jam). I haven’t worked on a Brother before so I had no idea what to expect. Surely enough the spring was on the bottom of the case. No damage to the typewriter. Watching this video I was able to fix the problem easily. Thanks 👍

In 1995 I already memorized all types of damage and repaired it. So if you see this video it's like going back in time... now in Indonesia machines like this are being reconditioned again

Try to pay attention to the plastic keyboard that has a path.lihat jalur yang ada di kiri pojok atas apakah jalurnya ada yang putus. Karena jika putus atau tidak konek pada saat menyalakan mesin.maka akan bunyi error

Sorry, I got the wrong info. I mean. Try to open the keyboard from the mainboard. Then you open the metal board under the keypet. Push the button slowly and you will get plastic.

Keyboard plastic path. Make sure the path in the upper left corner is not broken because the path is devoted to setting the engine's live position

I just got my mom this typewriter from eBay but when she pushes the return button it goes zzzzzz and than keeps clicking. Is it a simple fix or should I send it back

Yes, some narration would have been nice . . . I'm a typewriter master mechanic, what he did was align the print wheel while closing the mechanism. He should have been able to just close the latch, turn machine off and then back on (POR = Power on Reset) Typewriter would have spun, homed and self aligned print wheel
