If you were to compare to say... a battle royale shooter, when you drop in and you and an opponent are both scrambling to pickup guns/ammo, ofc you're gonna pickup every damn resource you can before the opponent does. I'm a fairly new player and frankly I just shut off chat. Nothing my teammates could chat matters at this level and the toxic stuff is distracting. Half the time team mates will chat "I've got it" and then not take the kickoff or chat "Take the shot" or "All yours" and then crash into me during the kick off lol. The final straw was when my own team mate (I play duos) kept spaming TAKE THE SHOT. I was rotating and giving him chances but he sucked and literally couldn't make contact with the ball (He finished with like 50 points). I had scored like 5 goals all while my team mate just spammed the chat. Not sure if they were trolling but it just felt like they were stupid or maybe didn't understand English. Either way I turned it off after that and climbed to a better rank because of it. I'll start commuicating when I get to a level where it matters. I have had team mates quit because I didn't say "nice shot" after a basic shot. The RL community might be the most sensitive community on the internet. It's pretty funny/sad at the same time. I'm just here to play scrub. Go chat to your Mom.
