I very much enjoyed this production. Thank you. It seems to be that craftsmanship in the US is celebrating growth, while in Europe, especially Germany, shops are closing door because they either don't have a successor who wants to keep running it, or they're too expensive. People prioritize a new phone over decent footwork, or artisan bakery goods or whatnot.
@WyattDadCobblerCompany7 күн бұрын
@@ulf373 the US is currently experiencing similar symptoms. It has gone from over 80,000 shops down to 3,000 in the past 15 years. We are trying to create awareness of the trade so that both clientele and tradesmen want to learn more and revitalize the industry

@@WyattDadCobblerCompany thank you for the effort. I much prefer to know who owns the shop, and their employees, and their love for the craft, than going with industry garbage.

I have always wondered where the nails go? Thinking I might step on them.
@WyattDadCobblerCompany8 күн бұрын
@@Keithphotorama the metal last that we work on causes the nails to clinch inside the boots. The leather piece inside the boots called a heel pad covers the nail heads to prevent you from feeling them. I demonstrated this in one of our videos. I will try to cover the subject again

Have to ask, if there was liquid cork in there and lasted that long and it filled all the low spots. Why don't you put liquid cork in there again and not try to do a build up with two sheets and then sand it down? Forgot to say thanks for the video.
@WyattDadCobblerCompany9 күн бұрын
@@keithjoseph7433 there is a difference in using liquid cork on a new boot that is still on the last and using it on a worn boot. We don’t recommend liquid cork for repair purposes. It flows around high spots and allows them to remain. This can be damaging to the biomechanics of the foot. Solid cork is the best way to go for repairs.
