Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

I feel like the steering gyro and leaning were interfering with each other and creating that issue of the front of the bike dipping in the water When steering, the bike starts leaning on its side and the steering gyro would also be trying to "yaw", but because the bike is leaning, it's pushing the front of the bike down.

I think redoing the evolution series would be good given the changes to the game added since then. Basically any Multiplayer Monday could be redone and it would probably end up being completely diffirrent.

Not what you asked for but it's been a while since you explored suspension and building the best rock crawler/trophy truck possible. I remember a video where you used your best vehicle to climb around a modded map. Would be cool to see that again but with you building the vehicle to see what suspension setup would give you the best travel and stability

Hi Scrapman I think its cool Video idea to go on the snow island (in danger zone) and do like a ski trick competition with the gang You start at the top of the hill with NO PROPOTION just sliding. Everyone can have 3 gyros (maybe 4 for symetrics) and a block limit of 50 (or change it if you want to) and then if you are at the bottom of the hill, everyone gives a score from 1-10 (maybe you even have other ideas to choose a winner). I would like to see a video about this, have a nice day.☺

Hey, love your content! Have you thought about doing a track test, kind of like Top Gear? It would be really cool to see how your different builds compare in terms of speed. You could set up a wallboard with the times for each one, but not necessarily trying to build the fastest possible bike-more from the perspective of genuinely being curious about how each one stacks up against the others. I think it would add an interesting element to your builds!

The "gyro" has a built in dampening effect (ie: preventing rotation) that gets stronger as you set its strength higher, that's why lowering the "gyro" made your craft start shaking from the high "gyro stabilizer" strength.

Jet Moto 2 is probably in my top 5 most played games. Easily in the top 10. Including such classics as NFS Underground, Goldeneye, F-Zero, Super Mario Bros, Minecraft, Scrap Mechanic, WoW...

Jet Moto 2 was a great game for the time. Trying to play it now is a bit of a chore, because the controls are a bit wonky compared to modern games. Definitely my most played game on PlayStation.

You should make a hover bike that uses gimbals, and floats just over the ground, and so it orients itself so it is always angled with the ground.

Gimbles can be used to support the leaning of a hoverpad. Put them slightly above center of mass.

That thing in a MP race would be awesome. Each player gets one and it's just skill that makes you win. Maybe allow some really minor changes for everyone like F1 cars. You're allowed to change some things but within very strict rules. I could also see this in dethrone. It's very agile and you can dodge attacks with sudden e-brake movements.

The lean + the fins on the front force the nose of the craft into the ground during turning. I think you would need to gimbal the fins, some how, so they don't turn into wings.

I think rebuilding a pod racer would be great. A lot of the pod racers you see built in these games miss one vital part, the rolling and twisting motion. If you watch the movie and the first Star Wars Racer game, you'll notice how when it turns left, the right engine lifts up and rolls over so that it is higher and sometimes even directly above the left engine and vice versa. I think there is enough in the game to recreate that movement.

One more comment: not all bikes\bicycles, but most - have their fork higher than seat. And yes, there is suspension on forks so it give "space" to compress and cancel going "nose down" move(iDKNW en my foreign), and g Force on bikes go not straight down but a bit front(it better search pictures to see)

Also bouncing at water at 12:12 looks very natural for actual bike. It kinda charismatic moment of riding a bike on road

At that time mark it rides as bike, not perfect yes, but controlable, it require a tiny bit of thinking how you making maneures. Doing it perfectly floating at air, instantly turning,... ruining feel of motorbike, it creating feel of some kind of crappy UFO vehicle that not cares of laws of physics.

SCRAPMANNNNN EVOLUTION DOGFIGHTERSS PLEASEEEEE. It could be separate evolutionary paths (each player sticks with the same plane they had from the start but changes it each round) so that there's more diversity and like reactionary evolution and stuff Eg if your opponent uses thrust vectoring, next round you could put on an emp instead of an extra smart cannon

That's pretty easy. Go kart seat, two little thrusters to the back or the side and one little wing on each side und you've created a properly functional flying plane. I watched a video from scrabman or KAn on exactly this "problem" and (I'm pretty sure it was scrapman) said, that it's so easy to create a working plane/helicopter in trailmakers, because you don't need any steering surfaces, the seat can do all the work. A helicopter is even easier. A seat, with a connectionpoint at the top, one little propeller on top and go for it. That's all, 2 parts and you've a working helicopter, which is hilarious, even more, the controls are fine, not perfect (directional is a little problem), but it's working 😂😂😂

I will admit, I've been hoping for a long time you'd begin messing with increased controls through logic. I've always thought it'd increase the handling of your vehicles massively at relatively little cost and its nice to know I was at least partially right.

In regards to the ergonomic design of real bicycles, you should've tilted the front hoverpad in the direction you turn to mimic the effect of self-right steering, so when you turn it leans into the steer, better balancing itself and allowing turning on a dime 👍

Scrapman. I dont think you will read this, but I have an idea. Do an evolving race using hover bikes,but the winner is not allowed upgrades on power cores but can still modify the vehicle(aero, weight, strength, gyro, replacement of engine and hovers are allowed. Only no new extra power cores). Kind of like who can make the better vehicles with the least power cores.

Hello ScrapMan! When you make another bayblade episode (which you will) can you make it so that you actually control the bayblade to make it more interesting? Also fan fact: Did you know that in the famous GTAV story-mode mission "Trevor Philips Industries" there is an objective called "Scrap Man" and to complete it you have to destroy 6 vehicles.

I think the delay in the turning on the lean is due to the quantum rudders having a delay to canceling out the opposite direction when you try to quick turn back and forth. So is there a way to speed up the quantum rudders so they turn faster?

Try Dethrone mode with planes that have weapons, and you start from the air then land to get the throne you can fight with the weapons. I guess you could try evolution with it but idk. Hope this will be a video.
