i open all of my hotwheels cars because i realized i am going to die one day and I always lick all my cars so i can leave my dna in my saliva to get a sense of ownership and dominance and so that people in the future will know that I owned these cars by tracking my dna. my great great grandkids will also always remember me. I also found out the sun is going to explode in 3 billion years so everything on this earth is pretty much useless. love your videos drifter D been watching you since i was 12 now im almost 13 (next week)

my thought is,i think the reason u and alot of other people would rather make their car carded again because they already experience it loose so then the regret part comes in especially when u already open multiple and tons of cars so if ur a loose collector that havent regret it yet its kinda hard to resist the temptation of loosing it

Buing a loose car is sometimes better for me as loose car collector because I can see both sides and know what I'm buying. HW has lot of errors even in premium line models - scratched paint, chips, missalined tempo, bulged paint.. on hidden side in blister of course for your happiness. I collect cars not to sell them so I let them free from blister. They're nicer without packaging.

As a Pilipino Car collecter I want them to keep loose so I can see it and play with it some cars carded others loose and I’ve been collecting them since 2017 even tho there expensive but I love collecting them.

I open up all my cars when I want to display them, I don't like keeping them carded because I want to let them actually "breathe' and it makes me sad seeing collections with thousands of really cool cars just trapped in their packages waiting to be opened. :(

I keep all my cars in small ziplock bags. Cuz I like to feel the cars in my hand instead of it being stuck in the package. And I would honestly never sell any of my cars so I don’t mind just having them loose.

in my opinion, if you buy a car I think you would buy it to like play and look at it so I don't see the point in keeping it carded but you do what u wanna do and just have fun with your cars

Drifter D it appears that you're having difficulty with adjusting to getting older! The same passion that you had as a kid or as a teenager is the same passion that you should have now as a young adult. You collect for the love of the hobby, not as a business option! A diecast seller and a diecast collector are two different individuals. I'm a loose collector....I could've been a carded collector, or both! Cracking stuff open and enjoying them YOUR way has nothing to do with possible future resale value.

I open most of my cars now...my house was flooded during Harvey here in houston...and my carded cars got all wet and disintegrated the cards they were on...so now I just open them and have fun with them....

Bro i am a diecast collector most of my cars are carded even the 5 pack. Its not becoz i could resell them at higher price. I never sell my cars And if i really wanted to open, i just open using ethanol on the adhesive side leaving one side closed, This makes sure u don't lose the blister or damage the card But one thing is for sure opening the cars just make me more happy 😍

I keep mines carded! But if i really want 2 open one then i buy double but for me i dont play with them so therefore i keep them carded! Not for value but if they gain value that's a plus for me. Just collect what u like and forget bout the hype.✌🍻

I keep ALLL my new "OLD" Hot Wheels that I bought HUNDREDS of dollars carded. Not because of the value, They are a TIME CAPSULE. Also, Hot wheels reminds me of Pokemon cards where I used to have. So to my point of view, Hot Wheels to me are basically Pokemon cards but with Cars inside the card. You get what I mean right?

I keep all my cars carded and not for resale value because I don’t resell but for the longevity. I want my kids to possibly play or open them up later down the road and it would give me lots of joy remembering getting those cars and seeing my kids now enjoying them

You are not stupid for opening them. You were younger and didn't know that your interests would change as you grow old. I get what you say. Perhaps you want to sell them to pay for stuff that today has a priority over collecting toy cars. In that case it is always better to keep them carded.

Im 163 cars deep and here’s what I do, my entire collection is loose I open every single car as soon as I get it except for dupes of treasure hunts or supers (if I ever find one lol) beacuse I have no point to add 2 of the same car to my drawer so I just keep it carded and put it in a separate box

Some I leave carded, and others I open. Sometimes I have 2, and can have it both ways. 😎 I enjoy the hobby either way. Sometimes the card is so cool you just can’t harm it by pulling the blister off to release your car.

For me in my opinion lots of people would love to open their cars up to see all the details but for me I love just to admire it in its package and the card art as well and for me I hate having to wipe all of the finger prints off of my cars a lot so I have stuck with collecting it carded ever since 2018. But for example cars that people are not really going after or cars that aren’t rare whatsoever I feel like are ok to open up like maybe fantasy castings or maybe some car culture cars that aren’t too hyped up. But cars like for example an rlc car I feel like if you don’t care about the value at all just open it. Honestly I also have a hard time trying to not open some of my cars but eventually when I do open them I fiddle with it for a good hour and get bored of it. Literally for every car and I don’t know why. No matter how beautiful it is I still get bored of fiddling with it. That’s why I don’t open my cars because i love the card art and love just having it in its package. It just gives me a good feeling of it being special to me and I can display it in my room to give my room a good look to it. As you can tell I’m a display type of guy and kinda a bit ocd. One crease on the card art and I get a bit sad. But yeah in my opinion I love keeping my cars carded.

Personally, I always try to find two of the same car for mainlines and only one for premium. 1 open and 1 loose, problem solved lol. Still, In my personal experience, I have sold unwanted cars carded and loose to collectors, some people dont mind loose, some do. It all depends who you are selling it to and location.
