T, definitely don’t stress from any hate comments or people being rude. People will definitely do it because you’re a nice person, and they think they can get away with it. Like Joey said. I know ya’ll are fish keepers, but no matter what you do, there’s going to be someone trying to be mean for whatever reason. I’ve been doing KZbin for 7/8 years. Not fish prioritized, but service dogs/education/disabilites and i show my animals. But no matter what you do, or how long you’ve been doing it, someone will have something to say and try to bully you. I think you’re doing phenomenal. I enjoy watching your videos. And it’s fun watching you learn. I’m not HUGE into fish like you two. Although I’ve always had tanks. But you inspire me to try and make my tanks I do have the best I can. I think you’re so sweet, and kind, you’re genuine on camera, and just yourself. I LOVE that. Don’t stop being you. And don’t let anyone bring you down. ❤❤❤ I think platies would be cute in there. Things work things don't work, That is the beauty of the Aquarium hobby you are always learning . In my opinion Tanganykans like harder water so do not put anything in that may soften the water' In your case bog/driftwood . i don't know your parameters ph wise but maybe buffer up a bit with the substrate you use do it natural potions/product won't end well . i will not guarantee the suggestions i have given will work every tank is different .But please do not give up on them . It is about overcoming adversity and giving you belief in yourself you are doing the right things .Ignore the haters and learn

I think you would love keeping platys with some corydora catfish! i keep guppies and corys and they are a lot of fun to have and that scape would be great for them. Enjoy yourself and don't worry about the haters. Misery loves company. Good luck!

Corydoras are great to keep and fun to watch their behavior and there are so many different Cory’s to choose from I’m sure you can find one you like always get atleast 6 and the more you have the better they do imo

Put some danios or White Cloud minnows, they are both colorful, simple to reproduce and different from the classic Guppy or Molly. good luck with your adventure 😊

I have the passion for many tanks but I do not have the means or the space and time I need to follow through. You guys fill that void for me. I get to see all the things yall do that I cannot do. Platys and Swordtails. Nothing ever bothers them. Mix types and colours and you will get really interesting fry.

Start with a group of Platies (Xiphophorus variatus) get the numbers up, then get a pair of Axolotls, then they can pick off the odd platy as food plus what you give them, or if fed well they may leave the Platies along altogether.

You could do platies all different kinds and mollies some are beautiful- they're also live-bearers and come in a bunch of colors and tail shapes. BUT put someone in there for crowd control after a while (to eat the babies)

Well, if you do indeed go with Platy's, a good community fish to accompany them would (in my experience) would be the Golden/Chinese Barb. They get to about 3-3.5 inches and are just so peaceful. Their colours just pop and they shimmer in ways many fish do not. Really hardy and school well in a group of 8-12. Alongside that Cherry Barbs also for the same reasons. Platy's come in so many colours and varieties that you will have no problem finding a few that will fit in nicely with what you may have in mind. No doubt Joey will help you there. All the best for finding the stocking and types of fish for this tank. I look forward to seeing what you decide to add.

53 years of fish keeping and strains keep getting nicer. Aquapets has rare tetras and live bearers.the hi-fin Sunrise Platies, Sanke Swordtails, hi-fin tancho swordtails, Racoon Tetras are all good ideas. There are a ton of neat Corydoras species. Predatory Fins has Yellow Lapis Tetra’s and blue eyed Congo Tetra’s… Have fun stocking the tank. BTW Joey does not have any Elephant Nose fish. They would look cool in that tank.

For the 70 a bunch of Cory catfish for the bottom and some type of barb. Tiger barbs are stunning in a school and when they reach adulthood

Editing takes a lot of time. I enjoyed this update, thanks for sharing! I am having a great time with platies. My favorites are the teacup coral red, the calico blue mickey mouse, and neon blue mickey mouse. There are so many different types. Have fun!

I think they may have been happier with 2-3 structures in the tank rather than just the one in the middle as there going to feel a lot more vulnerable with just the one place to escape and hide too.

Try something you want to try and learn from as a new hobbyist. Not so much the fish but more a new technique.. There are a 1000 ways to do things. This is the way you grow. You are doing such a good job . An example might be a new live food that you culture, a black water tank, a dry season, outdoor pond, CO2 tank, wild livebearers, tetra breeding. If you fail at something take it as a positive experience and do research because maybe you did not fail , but instead it might just be a learning experience. We all put a fish on the shelf and try later.

Every little girl wants a pony and there are many types of seahorses that your little mind could imagine riding around. Teasing you just a tiny bit. Lol

Since they were used to being in with other fish they could just be nervous still. That's one of the nice things about using dither fish. They show the other fish where the boundaries of the tank are, and that there are no other predators. Fish keeping is all situational

Tamara you need a nightstick and a big bunch of keys 😂 I'd go with platies/swordtails for top and medium fish. As above with neons and cardinal tetras as many as you can get with cherry barbs. Cory's and kooli loaches as a clean up crew. Nice easy beginners fish but with loads of colour.

That would make a great angel fish tank with a big school of cardinal tetras but don't get The wild altum Angels play Joey got, they're hard to take care of. Your better off with domesticated angels like a pair of black angels maybe some Platinum Angels koi angels and lace Angels or you can mix it up .. In my opinion every beginner hobbiest should start with some angels learn the hobby and build a passion for the fish. Try to get them to pair up and bring them successfully.. my bears are kind of boring. But that's just my opinion good luck

If fish doesn't thrive in a tank, you either have to change up the tank or swap out the fish. This was a responsible thing to do, getting them to a tank where they thrive. If it is in Tamaras or Joeys fish room... who cares? I guess those who value dumping on people higher than the fishes well being.

I love guppies they breed fast be prepared to have a few extra tanks if you get a bunch to start with 😂 2 to 3 months you'll have hundreds 💯 you can keep just male guppies then won't have overpopulation of them
