There are definitely some things i would disagree with here, but this is definitely better than it currently is. The unfortunate part is that reorganizing rarities and card unlock placements could crash the meta, but whatever well be fine

@@NasuNanu I don't suppose they could just refund all the cards and gold, could they? Like they take your Goblin Giant, delete it, give you back all of the items you spent in the form of Epic Wild Cards, Gold, maybe even a book if they can track the usage of that, then add a 'brand new' Goblin Giant Legendary. It'd be a massive pain, but it might be doable if they can be motivated enough.

@@adamkaangambrill It think it’d be easier if they calculated the difference in rarity amounts and adjusted how many cards you had of that card to how much it’d be for the new rarity, rounded up That way you wouldn’t have to assign wild cards to most of your cards and it’d all be automatic

It’s even organized amazingly! Like I’d say everything (bar Inferno Dragon) feels placed correctly, in fitting arenas, and with better rarities, including ideas I had never considered like making the mortar an epic which feels like such a good decision! I love the this video, even the presentation is great.

One of the reasons why I think a card gets its rarity is its ease of use. For example, you cannot mess up the royal recruits placement, and trying to change it up barely does anything. There is zero thought put in to place the recruits. On the other hand, you can mess up guard placement and you have to think about where to place it.

Think of it like this, you can place a mega knight and that deal spawn damage, does splash, and have a jump mechanic, that is pretty unique if you ask me because not most of the card in Cr have that type of mechanic. Than come the difficultly of using it. It’s not a hard card to place but it sometime requires the user to think of where to place the mega knight. That’s what I’m assuming

What are you yapping? Guards count x3, same as common skeletons and same formation, so it's the same difficulty of deploying Guards/Skeletons on a Ghost making it swing 3 times. Hear me out, Guards have a longer melee range so it's less skillful than Skeletons, as Guards can even easily deal with Valk. (P.S I'm an Ultimate Champion PB UC2100)

honestly I feel like the poison in jungle arena makes a lot of sense, if I think of the place in the real world I'd most likely get poisoned by some wild animal, I bet it'd be the jungle

I haven’t touched clash Royale in years. I try to be an open minded person and so I went into champions with optimism but unfortunately I’m not happy with the game anymore. Evolutions aren’t enjoyable, the champions spend too much time being unbalanced, and the meta has shifted to be incredibly annoying IMO. But I still love watching content on the game to see what supercell is up to, and this video is one of my favorites I’ve ever seen for this game! You did such a good job explaining each and every decision you made and it was so enjoyable! Of course I disagree with quite a few of your choices, but that’s an inevitability and makes things more interesting so it only added to the video for me. Great job!

The only reason I climb the ladder is to unlock new cards that I could use. Higher arenas mean bigger level discrepancy between F2P and P2W. So for me wasn't worth passing the arena 15, I regret that. Great video, bro

Great to see so much thought put into this and from a small creator nonetheless! I agree with the sentiment that the early unlocks matter a lot more and giving players gradual expose to different mechanics is important. I also like the effort you put into match cards better with the arenas that they're unlocked in - playing trophy road again on my second account, I was often going "why the heck am I unlocking this here?" I agree with a lot of the rarity changes, except I think with goblin giant, e giant, e golem and drill all moving up to legendary you have way too many wincons there. Of course they all do have unique mechanics but I think with a legendary it generally adds an additional dynamic to an already existing archetype rather than defining a new archetype itself, lavahound and graveyard being notable exceptions (could argue miner and ramrider too but they are a lot more versatile). Small note on goblin queen journey - definitely was fun but imo it was a good choice to remove it, as there are already so many game modes with trophy road, PoL, war, season challenges, tourneys, etc. Overall, fantastic video and although I'm sure we won't see such a big change to the game, it's nice to dream!

Thanks so much! And that’s a good point, I never considered that when making certain cards legendary. Even still, I think having all those win cons be legendary is personally fine with me because it means there isn’t really another card you can replace them with, exemplifying their uniqueness Also I feel like the amount of game modes isn’t that overwhelming mostly because you’ll be unlocking them at different points along your journey, but I totally see your point; I’m sure there’s a way it can be re-reorganized to take into account a no goblin road variant lol

Approved Overall pretty great, also i like the idea of Trophy Road "Ending" at 5k, but going all the way to double that, making it end on a big round number. About arenas, i would like to add something to this, i would so love to be able to choose which arena i play in for certains mods, like PoL idk, cuz i love some arenas too much.

There are some choices that look a bit odd, but I really dig this order and rarities a ton. The only changes I would make is swapping Magic Archer for Ice Wizard because he was (alongside princess) the first legendary to be released, and most of the legendaries unlocked in Hog Mountain should be simple and also it fits with it being the old Legendary Arena and having the first legendaries. Also, swapping Heal spirit and Wall Breakers in place/rarity doesn't seem that crazy, with Heal spirit having this mischivieous personality and Wall Breakers being some spooky skeletons. And lastly, swapping Xbow for Tornado might be best to separate Executioner from Tornado (and because Hurricanes), and also because Xbow is really scary; you are already unlocking so many win cons on Arena 11, so losing the trifecta of win cons there isn't that big of a deal (also because the two win cons remaining are the two most expensive cards in the game).

Great ideas! I didn’t consider that the legendaries in Hog Mountain should be the first ones introduced but that’s a great idea as they’re also the most simple of the leggies. Magic Archer is also a bit tricky to use if you want to get the most value out of him, so in clocking him later is better. That swap is perfect. I personally don’t agree with the Heal spirit / Wall breakers swap as I don’t think Wall breakers should be a common, and they’re one of the few cards in the game that give off a pirate-vibe, fitting for Shipwreck island. They do also fit Spooky town exceptionally well so I understand the swap Xbow also does fit the Spooky town aesthetic for it being a scary card to go against but I don’t want to lose that win-con trifecta so moving tornado elsewhere would be better in my eyes. Or swapping Exe with Inferno dragon so they aren’t together

Great Ideas really well thought out. I'd definetly switch the skeleton champion with mighty miner though. I believe the ability of Mighty miner is much simpler than the Skeleton Champion graveyard Ability. Also i think The Skeleton better fots the theme of the crypt. Edit: The Emote thing is genious

I actually thought about that while making this reorganization, and I do agree with that switch looking back. Especially since Mighty Miner has a much simpler ability. I didn't like Skeleton King in crypt when I was making this because I didn't want him to take the Royal Ghost's spotlight there but that is a silly reason looking back lol And thanks about the emote unlocks! I think it's a great way to show more expressions for f2p players

If there's one thing I would've done differently, it would be to change the Sparky's arena with either the Electro or the Ice Wizard, since half of the cards that reset it are 3 arenas after it is actually unlocked, basically making it a new Mid-Ladder Menace, only reliably countered by Rocket. Plus, these wizards just fit there, being early legendaries, especially the Ice Wizard.

That’s a great point; Sparky is a bit dominant until arena 13 but I imagine when you reach arena 10 you get a legendary chest, meaning it’s only a 1 in 8 chance players will have sparky anyway. Unlike other mid ladder menace cards being rare or epic, Sparky being a legendary means you won’t see it that much. Zap also counters it pretty well, and Sparky was around for a while with only zap being able to reset it and it wasn’t super dominant back then. I think it’s fine if Sparky is a bit dominant for 3 arenas imo; also I totally agree that ice Wizard should be in hog mountain, swapping him with magic archer would make a lot of sense since magic archer is a bit tricky to use if you want to get maximum value out of him

@NasuNanu yea instead of healing she was just invisible/invincible while moving. You kept mentioning egolem healer and how it would be nice to use it outside of that combo, There is a golem pump healer deck too, however I made a golem night witch deck with healer and no pump and I was crushing with it but then they added evo pekka and mk and nerfed healer passive heal so I feel that on a personal level as far as playing outside the traditional decks goes, I also play my own rascals bait deck too. Hence obsession

I love the content, planning, thought and creativity put into this video and would definitely want this into the game. Liked I would personally change a few things in this order 1. Put cannon into training camp 2. Make ice and electro wizard epics 3. Put ice wizard into frozen peak and make bowler a rare 4. Switch skeleton barrel with flying machine then switch skeleton barrel with mega minion 5. Switch heal spirit with skeleton dragons then switch heal spirit with inferno dragon 6. Make inferno dragon a rare, bomb tower a common and minion horde a common (i would prefer horde to be rare but i want it consistent with chart) 7. Switch executioner with void then switch exe with heal spirit 8. Replace barb barrel with goblin drill then move barb barrel to barbarian bowl, barrel is now rare. 9. Furnace goes to spell valley 10. Cannon cart goes to barb bowl I know barb bowl has 4 rares 2 common and a few other arenas being 1 card short but this makes the most sense thematically imo

Thank you so much! Your ideas for reorganizing do make a ton of sense and I could see it being that way. I disagree with moving barb barrel down to barb bowl though, the reason I have it in jungle arena is because at that point you could make a log bait deck, so we should introduce a log-like card there. That being barbarian barrel. Putting the cards in arenas that fit thematically make sense but sometimes balance and order of unlocking cards takes priority. Like, furnace does fit in spell valley, but It's an annoying card to go against imo so it should be unlocked later Overall though your ideas are very good despite me disagreeing with some of them

@ Yeah I think maybe he and inferno drag should swap, so he's at least in his themed arena too; otherwise though, of course it's going to be subjective to an extent and nothing can be perfect but i think all in all good video 👍

@@6171boots That would make sense, players might be annoyed that Exe would be unlocked so late in the game, but there are plenty of other 5 elixir splash cards that could be used at the moment, like Bowler, Witch and Wizard

Not really, the log on release was bottom tier trash card, it had to be buffed multiple times for it to become popular like it is right now, so if the same log back then came out today, it would easily be emergency buffed, and not be that mindblowing.

The emote you put for arena 12 is a limited emote. Which I think should stay limited. Also , it happened to be the season when i bought my first pass.

I'm sure there are plenty of emotes I selected that are limited, like the one I chose for arena 24. There are so many limited emotes nowadays though I thought we may as well allow a few of them to be brought back as permanent emotes at least in my opinion

personally, i'd place hog mountain at arena 9 and frozen peak at arena 10, since if you want to go for the mountain climbing in order to get legendary cards thing, then ice is usually higher on the mountain than grass and well, its the peak, altough i do understand that the hog mountain feels more goldy/heavenly thus leading to legendary cards unlocking there and also nostalgia biase as it being the ultimate arena leading you to double digits since forever (sorry for any inconvenience and mistakes in my english, its not my primary language altough i hope everything is understandable even with the mistakes i made) (going futher into the video the same possibly could go for serenity peak and clashfest)

many people don't know but because of the way they coded rarities back in 2016 adding new rares will make all other rarities less likely to drop and changing it to actually make sense would take too much effort according to supercell

Bro banished goblin hut to the goblin realm 💀 I think if you wanted to put the goblin cards into the regular arena path, you could make it work. Goblin hut can go into shipwreck island, with it being a pretty run down party shack. Curses are spooky, so goblin curse can go there. Then goblin bomber and suspicious bush are a little difficult. I guess you can put bush into serenity peak? It sneaks along so it would be funny to put in the serenity arena? And the bomber is kinda mechanical a little bit. Goblin machine can go into rascals hideout, goblinstein can also go here, or be pushed into a later arena. Little prince seems a better fit for rascals hideout or prince’s dream, and since it’s actually called prince’s dream, that one makes the most sense to me.

Fun video! It's funny how every major thing I disagreed with, you ended up bringing up that it's a kind of iffy choice; personally I think it'd be rad if cannon was introduced in training camp, just to get the player accustomed with a very basic building, but I think it works fine in barb bowl. for Inferno dragon though!?! i drag is my GOAT I can't believe you'd do this. But fr, I think it makes sense to reduce it to an epic; but I'd probably swap it's position with battle healer. I like the idea of the post game having a lot of the somewhat more gimmicky cards like clone, goblin drill, or mirror, and I think battle healer is definitely one of the more gimmicky cards- plus, it'd postpone the E-golem combo more. Another thing is that putting i drag in arena 7 gives people time to use it before electro valley where it'd just be utterly annihilated- but would also let people counter mega-knight once they reach arena 12, since I-drag is one of the best counters for it. Otherwise yeah I largely agree with everything here, I like the aesthetic appreciation for the arenas (except for rascals not being unlocked in rascal's hideout, I like them in shipwreck island but I think maybe replace the hideout with a different arena just because it is PAIN to have the namesake card of an arena not be unlocked there.) only piece of constructive criticism that really stuck out to me is maybe slightly refining the text placement? don't get me wrong I don't mind the more chilled editing style, it's a nice change of pace from the highly customized highly edited videos with like custom UI that a lot of other videos have, but maybe just making sure it doesn't overlap with other visual elements; maybe give the text a subtle black outline if possible in your software? or just a black backdrop for when it shows up can work. Anyway, lovely video

I thought about putting it in training camp but the issue with having cannon in training camp is that we'd have to move a card that's already in training camp out; and they all fit exceptionally well there. And putting battle healer in the post game is a neat idea because it's a gimimcky card, but it would be too close to egolem imo. I think there should be at least 5 arenas separating them since players will at least use 1 for a bit without the other. Swapping i drag with executioner might be the best since it would put executioner in his own kitchen; and while i drag doesn't fit spooky town very well, I don't think any of the cards in royal arena should be replaced. Your point about putting it before electro valley is very valid though. Unlocking lots of cards in the first few arenas may be too much for a new player, especially since the trophy distances between those arenas are smaller but I see your point

If we talk about arena position based on theme , it should be jungle arena hog mtn. And then frozen peak. This because you go to a jungle get to a mountain and get to the icy peak for a new rarity

26:20 i think that aesthetically poison would fit in best with spell arena, since you know, it's a spell in a flask and it has the whole cloud of effect over it while the earthquake would be more for builder's workshop, since it's a mechanical based arena, nothing more like some natural destruction that particularly affects machines (especially buildings, which the builder does seem to like) tho progression wise,,,, yeah that wouldn't be the best idea lol

goblin giant?? legendary?? kinda just feels wrong 😭 anyways actual comments now, I think it would be nice if cards which are unlocked are consistently very varied across each archetypes (for example the gob barrel mortar and balloon) which is good in this video but I feel like it could have been done a lil bit better idk I both like and dislike the way range and movement speed isn't really considered in the cards rarities like yeah they just attack differently and move at different speeds its just normal but like some cards like dart goblin and or arguably flying machine both have really long range and move really fast and that aspect makes them very unique at least personally I might be biased as a log bait player tho

That's true, I do think Dart goblin and Flying machine could be rares but at the end of the day there needs to be an equal amount of commons, rares, and epics in the game and dart goblin and flying machine are unfortunately just the least deserving of the rare rarity compared to some other cards that have special abilities. I did keep in mind that some cards like Princess and PEKKA should stay in their respective rarities though because they are different enough in terms of raw stats

@@Anix8-my5of That’s true, you do get the choice between those 3 epics once you reach builders workshop though so if people wanted to use a high skill deck then they’d know to choose mortar. If they don’t end up liking it or aren’t very good at it, they will unlock skeleton barrel as another win con anyway; which is relatively easy to use

I think royal delivery and barbarian barrel should be the same rarity because they are essentially the same mechanically. I would swap rage and royal delivery rarity.

I disagree with mini pekka. With the log argument, mini pekka should be moved to epic 🥺 I'll make this a list for my criticisms because you want them. Swap rocket and cannon cart, since they'd fit better in those arenas instead, even just a little bit. Also, rocket being accessed before there's even a second big guy feels a bit redundant Maybe swap heal spirit and elite barbarians? I wouldn't leave the latter as a common, but if so, swapping them would be appropriate. Healing is serenity, and elite barbarians are terrifying

I see your point about mini pekka but at least the log can knock everything in the game back bar flying units; mini pekka unfortunately doesn’t have anything unique besides his raw stats. Also with him being a common his rarity color matches his color lol. I just can’t see the guy any higher then common as every other training camp card is common and we need all the commons we can get The cannon cart rocket swap is understandable, but that means your only big spell for a long while would be fireball, not allowing for as much variety in decks I was thinking about having heal spirit and e barbs switch places while making this and it does put the cards into more fitting arenas. I ultimately decided on heal spirit in spooky town for the irony though lol, but I can totally see e barbs there instead. Thanks for the comment those are great ideas!

I would turn freeze into a common card because it is not strong enough to be an epic. When I open a chest I’d be more happy to get an ice spirit than freeze. It should always be more rewarding to get an epic card instead of common cards

@@Anix8-my5of Good point, but the rarities determine how unique a card is more then how rewarding they are; and no card in the game stuns things for as long as freeze does. Ice spirit may be more flexible and I agree that I’d prefer it over freeze but it’s pretty simple when you get down to it

Something they should do is trim down a lot of the generic, repeats or bad arenas (like Pancakes, Royal crypt or Clashfest) and add some of the cool new ones, especially those with their own OSTs (Wild West, Fight Night, and Gobblenstein)

Wild west, fight night, and gobblenstein are very solid arenas, but we already have the desert aesthetic with bone pit, and we already have electro valley which is similar to gobblenstein. Fight night though I could totally see being a permanent arena, but having a few of the permanent arenas in game have a different soundtrack would be a bit inconsistent. Though they could just give those OSTs to existing arenas and make a unique track for every arena

That’s a great point I didn’t even consider; although there’s a 1 in 8 chance you would even get Sparky there as I’d imagine a legendary chest is given out once you reach Hog mountain. You do have zap and rocket, and while that may seem like not enough counters, Sparky’s only reset counter was zap when it was released anyway. I think Sparky being a bit strong for a few arenas is fine, but it can swap with E-wiz if necessary

@@SwagBuro Great point, when making this I thought both Hunter and cannon cart fit each arena nicely but ultimately decided to put Hunter in jungle because I like the idea that he’s in there to hunt down goblins

I mean currently in-game he's unlocked in arena 13, and electro valley is arena 13 in this reorganization; and he's not as infamous as cards like Witch, Mega knight or Firecracker so I didn't think he really needed to be pushed any farther back than he currently is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@acordybs That’s a good point I didn’t even consider; baby dragon counters tons of cards being unlocked down there and he’s only really countered by musketeer. Though, he was unlocked in training camp at the start, and while he was an epic so it’d be hard to get him, it’s not like he was super dominant back then. I think it’s fine as is but I could see him being pushed a bit further down or swapped with another card for more balance

I was so confused when I came back to CR only to see that I am not supposed to have a cannon cart. It was perfectly fine before, the old ladder was better. Every card was in a thematicly accurate arena! Pekka and Lavahound was in Pekkas playhouse type of stuff. I see a cardinal sin, the cannon cart is no longer EPICK. Its the only card of its kind it IS epick.

Fire spirit Oven building must be unlocked on Spell walley - its useless btw for its cost (needs cost decrease from 4 to 2) + dont deserves high arena to be unlocked! Goblin hut must get back to goblin stadium - may be reworked so there would come 1 goblin from building but will cost 3 instead of 5 (no goblin after hut destroyed)! About barbarian hut - i can say the same: cost decrease to 4 and 1 barb comes from hut instead of 3 (no barb after hut destroyed)! Also devs can add a limit on production buildings amount placement! For example only 1 goblin hut,1 barb hut, 1 fire spirit oven can be placed on the arena to avoid these buildings spam! Elixir collector must be at builders workshop - and may be reworked (for example 3 cost instead of 6 but gives 0.5 elixir instead of 1), this will make collector less game changer but protected against positive elixir trade with high damage spells! Cannon cart could be unlocked on builders workshop (with 10% of hp and damage nerf)? Goblin drill is too useless to be unlocked on that high arena! Same with Tesla tower which is not as powerfull to be unlocked at that arena!
